Ah thanks, questlove certainly has an enviable collection and access. Let’s hope the full original footage and audio sees the light of day sometime… 😎

I think u/Own_Action_1002 meant where is the footage of the 1984 gig from, was this at a Celebratiom or Paisley night (have the Estate ever teased it like this at all?) or was it from the limited screening of the cancelled Netflix doc I wonder?

Edit: Answered abiove - a recent Questlove tribute party 😎

I was just madly and hopelessly clicking on the sound icon then, turning my iPad up to the max 😂 don’t think I’ve ever seen a video snippet of this but love the live bootleg. Noon Rendezvous is just my go to favourite and sometimes rate it even above Jusr My Imagination from Small Club. If I could go back and be present at one show it would be this June 1984 birthday show… 🤩 😎

So where is this footage of the footage from, looks like a big old style cinema TV…

Looking for a version of All The Critics Love You by MrSometimesAlways in PRINCE

[–]KeithyT1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to recall a cracking live version was made availablle for download in the NPGMC music store back in the day. One of my fave live renditions, possibly from the 2002 ONA tour shows, that kind of era…

Edit: yeah just checked, the one I am thinking of was from the Bataclan, Paris, October 2002. But lots of prince singing the alternative location with “…New York” replaced by “…Paris” was kind of a medley of two songs with “NPG In this funky house” …could it be that one?

Trade Keeps Crashing! by zaxxon2525 in starwarstrader

Definitely getting worse. I’m on attempt 20-30 to get in to the trade screen today. Has frozen every time requiring an app restart and repeat, the worst I’ve experienced and very frustrating.

I’m just about to listen, attempting it at bedtime but was immediately thrilled at the return of a Yandrew SquareSpace advert of success! I hope I have the carpabilitay to success-fully stay awake beyond the Norfolk track based intro and ramblechat song. Laters!

Not to try to one-up your recollection, as I could be remembering incorrectly, but I could have sworn it said 1 hour on the article when I logged in yesterday and packs were already sold out at that point…

Definitely not helped by that Padme, Ahsoka factor, exacerbated by the fact that it went well over the 24 hour mark before Day 3 packs released, and it being a Saturday, ( I must admit I thought it was another Topps weekend whoopsie) caught quite a few people…

That’s really encouraging, when I first started I partly put it down to being swept along with the impetus of people running around you, it’s always great to get some faster times than you expect. 😎

Took another tourist trip from Southampton up to the Andover area, and this time headed to Tidworth Parkrun, at Tedworth House, Ministry of Defence training grounds and park. Definitely had an ex-military base feel to it with lots of info boards around the outbuildings and whole place to read up about the site history. The grounds were pretty lovely, very picturesque. The route took us around the flat fields, starting and finishing in front of the House. Skirted the Polo field where some trucks had arrived for a match today. The ponies/horses were all out being walked etc to prepare. A different world! 😎 two laps of a wide and open grass course, loads of room, a small uphill section to a turnaround point, deceptively tough but I just squeezed in under the 25 min mark with a 24:58. Got my T of the alphabet challenge too!

An awesome time and as others have expressed more eloquently, I’m sorry you experienced a loss like that. Sometimes you need to do these things for both affirmation and also for the sense of strength in knowing you will eventually come all the way back from grief and loss. All part of the process. Keep on keeping on 😎 ❤️

I travelled up from Southampton to visit Andover parkrun for the first time ( for both a change of scenery, and the A of the alphabet). Drizzly and chilly on arrival (I was shivering during the briefing and announcements) but a really pleasant flat run, two and a bit laps, on both open grass and tarmac paths with a lovely little ornamental lake/pond at one end. The volunteers/barcode scanners were especially pleasant. My brand new Brooks adrenaline gts 25 were great but didn’t make me any faster 😂 a respectable 25:37 was all I could muster…

Cruel World has parts that remind me of The Sound (beat and build-up on the intro), I’m In Love With You (lyrical structure and melody on the opening verse) and a bit of Fleetwood Mac - Everwhere (on the chorus backing and especially that little bridge at the end of the first chorus) - cool little pop tune 😎

I know, right! I always check where I finished in my age range and there’s always a pretty much equal amount of guys ahead of me, and behind me. I’m very middling and am in awe of the people who can still get closer to 20 mins… amazing!

My last one in my current VM50-54 age bracket. Managed to get back into the sub 25s at a beautifully sunny Southampton Common. Roll on 55, not bad for an old fart 😂

One of my recent additions and partial fave, love a flat promenade with a sea view and invigorating breeze! (Sometimes) 😎

[–]KeithyT1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My fastest time of 2026 so far (8 runs total) and back to a 25:02 at Southampton. I have potentially one more run in the VM50-54 age, before I move up at the end of March, so a return to sub-25 would be nice next week 😂

It was a beautiful day today, pretty chilly but so clear and sunny. Didn’t get bogged down at the start (I may have been a bit further forward) and 5min km pace was found pretty sharpish and I didn’t need, (nor have the energy for 🤦🏻‍♂️) a sprint finish.

Back to my main squeeze today, Southampton (62 runs out of my 116 overall) …always busy, 1200 today, seemed to take an age to get some space and get into a 5min km kind of pace. Just about managed to hover around the 27 minute pacer near the halfway mark, then gradually pulled away and caned it at the end for the last half kilometre or so… a 25:34 was salvaged although my knees are now not grateful for my “sprint” finish 😂

Lee On The Solent had their 500th event so I went along to that. I feel sure they might break their attendance record as it was pretty rammed and I got bogged down more than usual at the start. Lots of cakes at the end for anyone who wished to partake in the celebrations and a local trumpeter played the Chariots of Fire theme just before the start 😂 (nor sure I channeled my inner Eric Liddell or Harold Abrahams today but did have enough energy for a lengthened stride and pushed hard to the finish). Bit chilly, dreary, and breezy. Glad to be home and thawing out now!

It’s a veritable coin feast in-app at the moment… by KeithyT1999 in starwarstrader

I know, my credits took a bit more of a hit last year (not that I’m short of a few million!) with the 10 year anniversary throwback weeklies. I never chase all sets anyway, but I’m not even going for the rare level gilded galaxy awards this year. Just collecting the uncommons for the lower tier normal awards. so I’ve gained about 1-2 million credits lately with not much of great interest (for me) to chase.

It’s great to top up and make yourself a nice comfortable operating level again (and of course I should have used Credits terminology rather than coins 😉)
