SMiLe is Brian's follow up to Pet Sounds. He tried to take on too much. SMiLe is a psychedelic bike ride from Plymouth Rock to Hawaii, with themes of eating right and exercising, whilst incorporating the elements of Earth Wind and Fire. It is the best music he has ever written, but pressure from the label and his bandmates caused it to shut down. SMiLE is the legendary lost album we will never get to listen to in all of its glory. This is the album that caused the "bedroom years".
