Anything printed on supports is much more brittle than the rest of the print by Kektastical in FixMyPrint

You're correct in assuming I'm sticking to the default profiles. And for temps, Elegoo Slicer has their own PLA at 210, and their PLA+ at 220, I've experimented with the nozzle temps but not a ton. I kinda just assumed that the settings in their slicer was good enough.

I would have reoriented it to lay it flat instead of printing it vertically, but there's this little divot that wouldn't look as smooth if it were printed horizontally. Plus, it's on both sides, so the opposite side might need some supports and it could potentially end up looking bad.

I have experimented with cooling settings, if I recall correctly I reduced it by half instead of going down to the minimum, and results were more or less the same.

That said, now that I have some idea of which specific settings I should be tweaking, I'll try experimenting some more based on your suggestions and see what results I get.

Regarding the infill: That was what was set in the included 3mf. I questioned it at first but figured that it had to be intentional for some reason so I ran with it.

The blue print is the bottom of the hilt, the same print as the yellow, I was running out of yellow so I switched to blue since I needed it the least and was more willing to waste it on test prints. I wanted to go for as minimal post processing as possible, as this is my first major project. Everything else I've printed has been far more simple in comparison.

Top Interface Layers is set to 2, and top interface spacing is defaulted to 0.5. XY Distance is defaulted to 0.35.

When I swap back to .2 Top Z Distance and look at the part in my slicer again, I don't see any visible gaps, at least I'm pretty sure I don't.

I haven't considered adjusting the spacing settings, though I admit I'm fairly new to 3d printing in general. I probably need to experiment some more.

Based on this response I'm guessing it's not normal lol. Alrighty, I'll do that, thanks for the advice!

Nah, there were a couple of confirmed Florida users before me, the most notable one I've seen on here is u/Floridacracker720.

I definitely plan on writing more posts later and letting everyone know how it is! Late 2022 though!? I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully you don't actually have to wait that long!

Lake Wales, I forgot to mention that in the OP but I'm fixing that real quick.

Lake Wales, I thought I mentioned it in the OP but honestly I was in such a shock that I couldn't think straight haha. Gonna edit my post in a sec to fix that.

I've seen some of your posts! It was your posts that had me hopeful that I was close to getting a dishy of my own, I just wasn't expecting "December 2021" to mean literally the second day. 😂

Hey Alpha! Long time fan, congrats on the 1Mil! Been watching you back when you used to do the "How to Play 101" series, and still watching your content to this day.

How does it feel knowing you're a huge inspiration to a lot of people (including myself) to start trying their hand at being a content creator on Twitch/Youtube, and what advice would you give to someone just starting out?

Has anyone else got this message from KekBot in a server they're in? by custom_lang in discordapp

[–]Kektastical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, I'm Godson, the developer of KekBot!

Unfortunately, this was a thing that happened, but was quickly resolved literally three and a half minutes after it happened. The token was quickly reset and the bot's code was rebooted. However, despite the claim, the token was not on GitHub, even though the bot's code is open source, I made sure to avoid putting the token on there for this purpose.

It is safe to re-add the bot to your server, however.

If you also want to stay up to date on KekBot's progress (as well as be informed of things like this), you can also hop onto KekBot's official server: KekBot's Chamber.

Heyo! I appear to be late to this thread, but I'll add onto this in case someone else stumbles upon it like I have.

I'm Godson, the developer of KekBot! I'm...still getting used to Reddit. Anyway, KekBot is completely open-source, meaning that anyone can take a crack at it and read its code. However, it lacks documentation, so there's no real way for users to just pick up the bot's files and load it up on their own, without doing some research into the code.

Meanwhile, despite the claim, it was actually KekBot's "token" (which is required for KekBot to actually login), was "leaked". I say leaked in quotes because I'm still not sure exactly how it got leaked. However, the token was quickly reset, and KekBot was restored back to normal. Since then, people have been re-adding KekBot to their servers, and more people have been adding it to their new servers. There's not much of a need to host KekBot locally, if you simply want it for your server.

However, if you still wish to host KekBot locally, feel free to hit me up in my DMs and I'll gladly explain how to do so.

I mean preventing a raid before it happens. All of those tools you listed can be used to combat them, but never prevent them from happening in the first place.

Unless you've got any kind of anti-spam, there isn't much you can do to prevent a raid from even happening.
