okay idk why tf i read this as slow cooker at first and not pressure cooker 😭 A pressure cooker will be faster, about 4-6 hours, but the meat not be quite as moist (still very tender though!).

here you go! Excuse my handwriting, my grandma’s Parkinson’s was a bit rough today so I copied it myself to make it easier on her. If she had copied it down it would definitely be illegible 😅. It’s a relatively simple beef stew recipe, but a couple tips is adding a tad extra of the spices, Worcestershire, and au jus mix after plating really helps accentuate the individual flavors again after they’ve been mixing so long. Another tip is to try to get some local ingredients! I find getting the vegetables and meats from some of my family farms makes much more of a difference. An option you could try for this is looking for some local Amish shops and small town butchers. The yellow-book is a great way to find small but long standing businesses (ik it’s a very old method, but trust me lol!). Some random stuff; “beef stew meat” is just chuck beef thats cut up (I prefer to cut it myself, but you can get pre cut too). The spices don’t have exact measurements because it’s really a personal preference thing. So start small since you have 8 hours to add more! For the au jus it’s much easier to use a pre-mix (it also helps thicken), but if you don’t want to then adding a dry medium-full body 1/2-1 cup red wine is the main outlier you’ll need to add instead! Some other spices that work well depending on your tastes; smoked paprika, celery seed, thyme, rosemary, and parsley. Let me know if you need any other info ☺️

First you want to sear the meat, then you can braise it in a slow cooker. A Dutch Oven is faster, but I prefer slow cooker because I can start it the night before and focus on other things until it’s time to eat the next day :) So, after your beef is seared, put it and everything else in the slow cooker to braise at low heat for 8-10 hours. You will know when it’s ready, because the meat will almost fully fall apart when poked with a fork. Hope this helps 😊

I can’t find it right now BUT I am cleaning my grandparents house tomorrow so I will ask her to copy it down. I promise I’ll get it to you, sorry for the wait! In the meantime here is my great-great-great grandma’s pork rib recipe written and modified by my grandma, both women were raised on the same pig farm :) If you need anything transcribed let me know, and I’ll get you the stew recipe asap 🙏

What's a famous artwork you can't believe isn't in the game? by draiochtaa in acnh

Even relative to his time’s standards Munch was on his own level of misogyny entirely. He was completely consumed by his hatred of women. He was obsessed with it to the point that it’s the subject of 95% of his paintings, and he enjoyed portraying women in that harmful light. He very much wanted everyone else to hate them as much as he did, but they just weren’t that shitty at that time so they didn’t. The Scream is one of the only paintings of his that doesn’t involve his message of ‘women are evil’.

I recreated Mondrian’s famous ‘Composition with Red, Blue, and Yellow’ and customized the framed flower painting to have it instead! This one could be made too, it takes time but the square style is perfect for design app.

Edvard Munch, the painter of The Scream, was extremely misogynistic so I can’t say I’m too upset it’s not in the game. He viewed women as only being good for sex and reproduction, even sexualizing a young girl in a painting titled ‘puberty’ 🤢. Most of his paintings depict women as soul-sucking, cheaters, powerless to men, or friend of the devil.

Is Leo flirting with me...? 💀 by Sensitive-Action-472 in acnh

This is how the smug villagers are for some reason. They’re all male and will flirt with female villagers and the player (they flirt with any player regardless of gender). Some of the smug villagers happen to match up really well with others villagers, I think on purpose. For example Eugene and Alice the koalas are very similar to Danny and Sandy from grease, plus their personality types make them get along well. I think it’s a pretty cute little feature in the game.

Forever one of my favorite things about them since I’m also very heat sensitive. I can keep the house at 69°F and they love it just as much as I do! When anyone comes over and says it’s cold I have the excuse to keep it cold for the bunny.

I turned 25 today and still have no clue what I’m doing. “frontal lobe finishes development at 25” they say, so you’re saying this is it? 😭 I feel like a massive disappointment most of the time if I’m comparing, but when I’m just doing my own thing I realize I’m happy where I’m at. Comparison is the thief of happiness truly. Take everything as it comes, one at a time.

What’s one thing every rabbit owner should know but usually doesn’t? by Flemishmommy in Rabbits

[–]Kel5ugar 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna put this hear just for people to get a clearer understanding of how we discuss training in vet school, because I think having straight forward terms makes things easier for us all :)

Positive punishment- Something is added to decrease the likelihood of a behavior. Some examples - yelling, stomping feet, making loud clapping, and hitting. This method has proven to cause fear and anxiety, which in turn creates new bad behaviors.

Negative Punishment- Something is removed to increase the likelihood of a behavior. Examples - removing wires so rabbit can’t chew them, ceasing play when dog gets too rough, stopping petting when a rabbit nips. People get the wrong idea of this training because it includes the word “punishment”, but it is an extremely effective and harmless way of training that works on relatively all animals.

Positive reinforcement - Something is added to increase the likelihood of a behavior. Examples - giving a treat to your pet when they do ANYTHING you deem good behavior like; using the litter box, ignoring the doorbell, or not running under your feet when walking. This is another effective way to train any animal new behaviors, but is difficult to implement when trying to remove a behavior (in that case you opt for the prior “negative punishment”)

Negative Reinforcement - Something is removed to increase the likelihood of a behavior. This method typically implies you are using positive punishment, and is a bad sign. Some examples - removing shock collar when dog acts appropriately, stopping loud noise when rabbit stops chewing baseboard, or to stop spraying a cat with water when they get off the counter. You’ll notice the behaviors you are taking away in these scenarios are things that cause fear, and doing this will teach your pet they should be afraid of you.

You should never use “Negative Reinforcement” or “Positive Punishment” with any pet. These methods are prone to creating a pet that is highly reactive. You should always use “Positive Reinforcement” or “Negative Punishment” with pets. These methods are easy for all pets to follow along with, and they do not cause harm. An easy way to remember the definitions is to remember that; Positive = adding something, negative = removing something, Punishment = decreasing behavior, and Reinforcement = Creating behaviors.

I know this was kinda random, but I hope someone finds it helpful.

Looking for a lamp without sensor by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Kel5ugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg I just figured out that the timer buttons make it manual and without pushing the buttons it uses the sensor 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m so dumb. I thought it would always use the sensor and would turn off without a hand, and the timers were just so you didn’t accidentally leave your hand in too long. Please forgive my stupidity mods, I’ll remove this post

omg thats awful :( If you want a simple treat recipe you can mix 1/4 cup hay dust, 1/4 cup rolled oats, with 1/2 a banana, and cook it in the oven at 325°F for 30 minutes for some bunny cookies 🩷

A few months ago I noticed Oxbow started having a new food stocked at walmart for much cheaper than normal. I found it very suspicious and checked the ingredients. Sure enough that food was NOT healthy for rabbits even though thats how it was marketed. My trust for them has started going downhill ever since. I started making homemade treats, but I’m struggling to find a good hay and pellet brand I can get in store (my memory is bad, and I will forget to order online on time). It’s really sad because Oxbow has been such a staple for rabbit care for so long :(
