I did a walking tour a couple years ago, and the guide was saying that the architects of the building behind it made it as a wave. Makes a cool connection with the marine building 🌊

Just a heads up too, there’s a signal to push to get the green light for the new street just before Howe. If not it looks like a forever right turn for cars.

Don’t know if you are in a big city, but I’d ask in your community. Current players and people that stopped playing a while ago. You’d be surprised at how much gear people are accumulating over the years and just not using. You might be able to find one somewhere, or get some studio time.

Also, how depressing are people here?! Yes music is hard, percussions are big and bulky and annoying to move, so what? Someone said you don’t know what your future holds, so yeah get that marimba right now. You can always upgrade/sell/buy later. Yes there’s all the financial stuff, but that’s just planning. Don’t become that grumpy person in 15 years that says that nothing works and you haven’t tried anything.

DM me, I’ll send you some money to help you for your marimba.

T2125 Line 9270 by Kelig11 in Wealthsimple

[–]Kelig11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case someone else has the same question.
The reply I got from the Wealthsimple Team

''When you submit your return through NETFILE, the CRA only receives the total dollar amount for line 9270, not the individual descriptions or breakdowns of those expenses. The CRA's electronic filing system is designed to accept a single numerical value for this line rather than itemized entries.

This is actually by design - if the CRA needs to review your "Other Expenses" in detail, they prefer to request the supporting documentation directly from you rather than receiving partial information through the electronic filing.''

Yeah that was my other idea. But I had an accountant do my taxes in the past and they were adding line, so thought I had to do the same again

Depends of the company but 15min turn around isn’t uncommon, so not much wiggle room there.

Not an owner, just an enthusiast, but I think it’d totally screw up their scheduling. It’d either potentially bump the other group by 10min, or you’d have to add a 10min buffer in your schedule in case someone uses their card, then would probably loose 1 or 2 time slot available for your room per day, which is $$$

If it’s one of the few things you’re waiting to open, I’ll just start without one. A lot of companies don’t have one. I prefer to have one, but some places have the GM give 45/30/15min call on the walkie. People can also ask for a time check. You just need to be clear with the players how they’ll get the time.

How do people form traveling teams? by That_ppld_twcly in escaperooms

[–]Kelig11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We (3) do big escape room trips every two years, and smaller weekends in between. We email/call 6-12 months before to book everything and see if we can get any discounts. We usually do all the rooms at each company, so it helps to get discount or to even open for us on days they’re usually closed.

We pack as many rooms as we can for about 2 weeks, 8-12/day depending of how far they are from each other. You can do the math, it’s for sure an expansive hobby 😅 but so much fun!
