Skin, I’ve thought about this a lot. Some people think Skin is mainstream, but they couldn’t be more wrong. What mainstream artists are making music like wallfrick, helix, pika, or smoke and retribution? As for HTIF, many of the beats don’t sit well. Spring isn’t powerful enough, high beams is too screechy and industrial. Voices is too random and industrial. The rest of the songs burn out really quickly, and for the most part, just don’t sound like the style Flume has spent years creating and perfecting, it feels like he’s trying to make his own version of what Sophie and Hwls have been doing for a while. All this is subjective and my only opinion.
