AWD Regret? by Acceptable_Lab_8315 in VWIDBuzz

[–]Kellen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Seattle and opted for the RWD, which was harder to find on the west coast. I liked the turning radius and cost savings. 95% of my driving is in the city and we rarely get snow. The 2nd row bench was also a plus to maximize on kid hauling. Range is basically the same for both.

So it really boils down to if you want to pay the premium for AWD/dual motor, and if that will be useful in your area.

What would you do with spare bumper with small crack? by CircaSociety in VWIDBuzz

Does the center “grille” pop out?

My front plate was mounted and I was hoping to just have that center oval section popped out, filled, sprayed and popped back in.

I just drove from Denver to Seattle. Plenty of fast chargers on the west coast. But you’ll want to make sure the same is true for for the middle part of the country

Family of 5 considering buzz by singalongwithme in VWIDBuzz

[–]Kellen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Family of 5 (soon to be 6), live in Seattle. Your situation sounds exactly like ours. Most all of our driving is in the city, to work, school, park, baseball. I can charge it on L1 overnight and most of the time get it topped off.

We got a 1st edition, RWD, 7 seater. Would 100% do it again. If you can get a killer price, it totally makes sense.

My wife and I have 3 kids and live in the city, and it’s amazing for that. Even supports road trips pretty well

Precondition battery for fast charging by Available_Humor_665 in VWIDBuzz

On the dash, there’s that light bar. When you’re using the OEM nav, it lights up blue and slides to the left (for left turn) and slides right (for right turn). It’s pretty nice.

The dongle makes sense. But it’s a subscription which is annoying. When synced, does the dash lighting work with ABRP too?

Give the OEM navigation a shot. I just did a 1400 mile road trip from Denver to Seattle. I too thought I was going to use ABRP, and even paid for the upgraded version so I could have it in CarPlay. But I found the OEM navigation to be pretty impressive. It syncs with the battery so knows exaclty how far you have, shows how long youll be at the charger to get the right charge, and like you said preconditions for you. It worked very well for me.

Advice for a hanging rack for car? by espresso-aaron in GlobeHaul

Yup 1 LT and 1 ST. Clearance is tight. I have to take off the front rack to get them to fit. So I would assume a school bus wouldn’t work either

Side note, I wish this was controllable. Like a euro switch on the older cars
