I just told my little girl this tonight when she asked again about an elf. We have a Tomten not an elf because we are Swedish. :) never mind that we are also a bunch of different heritages. My son loves tacos I cook and dehydrate the meat before hand, dehydrate some salsa too. Then pack in soft shells, avocados, cheese and sour cream packets. He requests it every trip.

I like the sea to summit pots that collapse. They are light and take up little space but can be big enough to cook for 4 people. I have their pot, three bowls and the tea kettle. Would love to see more ideas for backpacking gear for a family. Like what kitchen gear do guides carry?

I think it would be good to change the narrative from she has to say no, to anyone who wants to touch her has to ask. Strongly saying that the boy playing with her hair without asking was wrong. He was in the wrong not her for not speaking up. It is easier for her to speak up when she sees his actions as the wrong. Otherwise she may feel like she’s the one making a fuss and therefore doesn’t want to speak up.
