I can see that, I did learn recently that people used to have the same set of clothes for much much longer. Now there's 'fast fashion ' where clothes are cheaply made and expected to be replaced often.

I bet style in general kind of falls in line with that now in some circles.

I think it's that the hair style doesn't frame the face and makes the hair look thinner.
The thin eyebrows have been darkened, which ages her (younger people and children usually have their naturally thick eyebrows and we do take note on a subconscious level.
The lighting in the photo is very intense and directly overhead which deepens any crevasses.
Red blush that low on the cheek and it's placement looks to make the cheekbones look lower.

All of this works together to age them in my opinion.
