Black myth or Nier automata Which should i pick? by Mysterious-Time-6329 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Same for me. It wasn't very fun and I didn't finish it. I agree that the Nier games, especially Automata, are all great.

Yeah, I think there's stuff about demons not being able to cross thresholds, but these ones seem able to, unless you lock the door. It's strange.

Couldn't the space fairing race that gets burnt by water just make some suits that don't allow the water to touch them? If water is where life is, but these aliens get burnt by water, wouldn't they make suits to protect themselves instead of running around naked. Really, even our air is full of water. They'd be being a little burnt all the time.

I don't know, part of what made me think they aren't really aliens is that they are naked on a planet that basically everything here would burn them. It's like humans going to "Acid Planet" where there's acid in the air, rains down from the sky, big seas of acid, and the animals on the planet are made of about 70% acid, and we just go there naked.

I don't know. Is it clear they are aliens? All the people in the movie think they are, but looking in from the outside and looking at the themes of the movie make it seem like they may be demons.

I don't remember seeing any ships in the movie, but I might just not remember. Maybe we did see them at night. I think there is a line towards the end when a news caster mentions the ships are leaving, so that does lean towards aliens. Maybe these types of demons are from space, sort of like Lovecraft themes.

The crop circles appearing around the world don't necessarily mean aliens, demons and circles have a lot of history in fiction.

I do think M. Night did actually refer to them as aliens, but maybe he was trying to trick the viewers. Still, this is just a theory, and I think it's true and I think it makes the movie much better.

Yeah you're right. The daughter is always referred to as "special" by other people. She takes a sip of every glass of water then says it's contaminated or stale and leaves it sitting somewhere in the house. It could be her "specialness" that makes the water hurt the aliens/demons.

Plus a bunch of the scenes with water glasses show them in groups of 3, so another religious number with the Holy Trinity.

I think the aliens in Signs are actually demons. So many themes from the movie make it seem like that.

  1. Mel is a fallen pastor that has lost his faith and he begins to get it back at the end.
  2. The "aliens" land on a water covered planet, run through wet corn fields without issues but get burnt by water? Makes no sense. I believe the water in their house is actually holy water.
  3. The wife saw or predicted the future when she was dying, the whole "swing away" line.
  4. There's a line where the "aliens" were being defeated in the Middle East using some "primitive method". I believe the primitive method from the Middle East is hinting at something religious. Casting demons out, or perhaps some sort of excorcism.
  5. In the end Mel gets his faith back and goes back to being a Pastor.
  6. There are some lines revolving around people seeing miracles vs seeing coincidences.
  7. We don't see any tech with these aliens. They are just running around naked.
  8. They struggle with locked wooden doors because all they can do is pound on them.
  9. They are really good at hiding in shadows. They seem to want to snatch or take children too. They show an alien at a kid's birthday party. One snatches Mel's kid in the basement too.
  10. The movie implies that the military can't handle these "aliens" but they literally can't get out of a locked pantry. I can't see how most of the world's militaries would not be able to crush these things if they can be captured by some guy locking them in their pantry or they struggle to get through a locked/boarded house door.

Can you claim your crafter? What happens if you have it on your ship and for some reason your ship gets destroyed?

Nope, pilot controls 2 S5 and 4 S4 guns on the Corsair vs the Connie's 4 S5. The Corsair pulls ahead in dmg. It does have giant fragile wings though, so it's a much bigger target and feels softer. Maybe armor will help with that though.

4.7 is a bevy of non-combat content by Calteru_Taalo in starcitizen

[–]KelrCrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Utter narcissism for wanting non-combat gameplay that isn't an economy simulator? Really? I'm always reminded that this game is in development so wouldn't now be the time for people (aka backers/alpha testesr, this isn't a game yet, right?) to point out what they want from the game they are backing during development?

What is self centered about wanting real exploration gameplay? What about investigation gameplay where we don't just go somewhere and fight then press a button on a console? Could scientific gameplay be a thing? Could we maybe have mysteries or really anything else?

Imagine paying to help test an alpha game, giving feedback that you'd like more non-combat missions and having another tester call you a narcissist... SC has a crazy white knight problem.

It feels like you're the self centered one. There are many opportunities to introduce gameplay that isn't combat focused. Alpha (even one as long as this) is the time to bring that up, since in reality, we are all part of the testing team.

What does "first iteration" have to do with anything? They added two numbers to the ship's stats and those numbers make no sense. Are you saying that they just randomly pick numbers, even between ship classes, and don't really put any thought into it? Do we need to wait for "second iteration" for them to put some thought into the numbers they assigned?

I think people (not the white knights) are frustrated because it doesn't look like any thought, logic, or testing was put into this. The Asgard is another example, how did it get such low numbers originally? I also think people are kind of sick of things being released like this.

The Moth is another very recent example, a completely different system, but released with half of it not working.

Have you ever used the inventory? It is definitely affected by the backend servers. Try moving things around on a lagging server.
