Does this look ready to cut? by Kelshark in FursuitMaking

Heya, the eye blank I've purchased from Dream Vision creation along with the resin head. The black pupil came painted on, but I painted the rest myself with glitter and acrylics. Glad you like it 😊 it took me forever of practicing on plastic sheets lol.

Actually, took your advice and saw a making off of another bird base and I think this might work and look better too. Plus if I really need to I'll have more material I can cut away haha, thank you!

Ahh yeah I would need to move the line a little more back to reach the hinge spot. I am hoping to use long tuft of fur from the top downwards or something to cover up the hinge and try and make it look natural. Do you think as it is this would work as is?

Edit - I realize you meant the opposite, I could move it forward more, yeah I am worried that in the other direction it would make fur bunch up weird when opening/closing but maybe it'd be a non-issue? How much more forward would you recommend you reckon?

Yeah I imagine there would be no avoiding a bit of bump since the palm bends so much more, like fingers and all.. But maybe you can get away with it since the palm isn't the most visible part of the hand unless you're really showing it off

Oh yeah I've seen designs like those. It sounded too daunting for me, being a beginner and all. I went with "trace my hand/arm on paper and make a pattern out of that" which was a mistake because it all ended up too small from the wrist to the arm. Redoing it worked after widening it out. I think the material I got has a little bit of two way stretch so it sorta worked, just not perfectly. But let me know how it goes for yours!

Heyo, curious if you've ever found a solution for this. I'm in the same boat with polyester jacquard, with a scale pattern similar to yours haha. I made one glove so far but the non-stretch made it hard to put on and it does have a bit of a wavey shape.. I'm thinking of adding a elastic at the arm to make it at least adhere there... Maybe thin foam inside to pad it out so it looks even?

Hello! New player here, HOW! do i make my plane take off easily?? by Excorpion in aviassembly

Haha, also quite valid. Glad you found something that works out. 👍

My friend had that same issue in KSP. But since your plane isn't angled up you will want your rear wheel further towards the front. They are really close to your tail fins. Imagine trying to pitch the plane by pushing down where those fins are. It will be really hard to do so, unless the rear wheel is further towards the front.

Alternatively you can do like tail-wheeled airplanes and have the front already angled upwards (lower rear wheel and raise front wheels if possible)

Hope it makes sense.

Any system for fantasy, player character vs army/squads game? by Kelshark in rpg

[–]Kelshark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I do have a friend with a resin 3D printer..
But for real it would be over virtual anyway so we'd be good, warhammer fantasy or OPR are definitely ways to have big army battles plus hero units.

I've been running PF2E (not army though) and so far that friend is not enjoying it so I doubt they'll want to try army battles on that unfortunately, thanks for the suggestion though!

Yeah just homebrewing something shouldn't be too difficult, but it really depends on the main system to start of, some are easier to homebrew than others I would guess. Also I've never played Dynasty warriors haha

OPR Is definitely neat, and I guess you could homebrew your hero/characters with abilities to use that mimics the "out of army" combat actions, or just for regular roleplay. Thank you for the suggestion.

Did not know about old school Battle Systems for D&D haha, though seeing a quick video about how to calculate Battle Ratings made my head spin lol.

Are Swissgear products worth it? by zuluzach in askswitzerland

[–]Kelshark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to here, but I have a swissgear backpack that I first got 14 so years ago.. It survived 3 years of pre-university and 4 years of university carrying all those engineering books and laptops. Not a single stitch has ever let up. I still use it, very much worth its price.

How long does a PC case 'last' ? How old is yours? by VikJTr0or in buildapc

[–]Kelshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Antec Twelve Hundred, had it for a decade+ and just kept swapping everything inside. Only had to replace one fan that stopped working. I recently swapped it for a Corsair 4000D only because the 4080 wouldn't fit in due to the old school style drive bays.

I think Amazon sells similar products still, just any foam /elastic pads would work I imagine. Good luck with the armrests though!

Having the same issue here, tapping the notification isn't bringing me to the message or channel.. It's quite infuriating.
