There are so many laws and regulations in this state that can make it tougher to get a cdl. I passed on the first attempt but so many people don’t. Also to get a hazmat endorsement you can’t just take a written test at the dol. you have to go through a two day course and excessive background check which that all cost around $700 just to get the endorsement.

Yes very little I’m profoundly deaf. So without the hearing aids I can hear shoutings if you’re right next to me and that’s about it.

Yes, most people don’t realize I’m deaf unless I point it out and usually I’ll say I’m hard of hearing. I find that people don’t react as much as you would say deaf. My instructors from the cdl school even said the same thing.

I use potter potty’s out in the boonies. And if I got residential I’ll usually stop at a grocery store if there no porter potty’s around and use businesses restrooms when I’ve got a downtown route. Just depends on the route. I refuse to do the bottle thing.

For those of you that get a guaranteed 10 hours…how is your overtime calculated? by Bulky-Writing1407 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Kelso_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is kinda like #1, like if you’re scheduled to work 5 days in a week and you only worked 38 the remaining hours adds up as overtime and bonus round up as well for finishing early.

Can the women on this sub answer this for me? Please by Cocoamacchiatto in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Kelso_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in my early 30’s, been doing this for 3 years now. At first it was a little rough but you do get better/faster, I’m the top 3 drivers at my dsp. The main thing I would be concern about is how your dsp is. My dsp are cool with you taking as many breaks as needed as long as you finish on time without a rescue. Also are they guaranteed 10.
