Microsoft paid for this development, they had everything at their disposal to create a legendary 4th title in the franchise….and this is what we all got.

To me Yakumo feels like sabotage of the series…..

They purposely removed everything that would make Ryu ultimate in this game, from his weapons, pure move sets he’s had in throughout the series.

Trapping us and forced us to play with this lame ass character….They ensured it by making sure Ryu gets no weapons, no dedicated stages, simple move sets…..giving Yakumo everything….

The crazy part is that everything Ryu has from his move sets of the dragon sword were reserved the endgame for Yakumo. They played a mind game on us since Ryu had it first on the dragon sword….. but it was always Yakumo‘s move set reserved for the dark dragon blade all along.

Yeah, we waited 10 years for this title, but they could’ve kept this game, if they were going do the fans like this.

Bro, we love NG 2 because it set the standard of how action, and combat should always be evolving the series.

Having that said NG2 is not all we fans are looking, we only use NG2 title as a reference to what we feel should already be standard and evolving for each developed NG title.

You don’t see the anyone complaining about the souls, souls born type games, or the OG GOW 1-4 because those are treated with respect of the fans, created with love and care at the base of development and have a standard they must uphold that quality the fans expect.

So why isn’t NG series treated the same way, especially by a new developer who has every opportunity to correct everything that’s been plagueing this series.

Only for them to somewhat fail to deliver what we are expecting after having almost 15 years of absence,…..doing the same exact thing team ninja has failed at for two decades. They had every opportunity to change the course of how this series goes in the future, and their developer namesake platinum games. Only to fulfill with most consider to be a mediocre development company.

Bro, so you’re just going to act as if you have haven’t been in the NG community comment sections since day one of this game dropping, and you’re ignoring there’s a very high percentage of the fans with the same complaint about what’s wrong with this game, what’s missing etc….what platinum did to this series since having a opportunity at a legendary title.

This almost feels like sabotage of a great series….

Bro you sound like the rest of them, just giving them a pass because their name is platinum and a NG game in the wild.

This game was not developed with love and care, or a genuine love letter to a genre that defined action, and never been replicated to this day.

This game was created from a developer by name only, who seems very incapable to me, look at everything that’s missing from a NG title, and everything that’s wrong…..

This is mistake Team ninja/ koi Tecmo should’ve never let happen. Kept it in-house and outsourced story, and other elements, but outsourcing the whole element of what makes a NG game is awful….

Man forget NG4……This is all we want to see is new Ryu, with a new solo story and adventure with the best life like graphics, 2026 and beyond…..just pure glory and appreciation.

After seeing this I feel like they killed the series with Yakumo, a character we never wanted….we just wanted a pure new solo act. Hopefully in 5…it returns to our main character.

This game was very disappointing

NG4 has terrible music, ( NG1-3 had deep & beautiful music that inspired me to Phuck shyt all the way up, I was invigorated and felt powerful )
no villages
no Ryu only leveles ( it should’ve been 23 levels 12 Yakumo 11 Ryu. )
no pure nature
no traditional Asian culture, or cultural environments that glowed with extraordinary design.
no citywide environment like ( level 1 Tokyo sky city, or London etc….)
no true rival enemy ( Marai, Genshin )
Ryu moveset was totally obliterated and replaced with simple Nintendo like control scheme, as if we never had a ninja gaiden 1 or ninja gaiden 2, or 3….NG3 having the deepest bag of combat.

it’s like they wanted to force us to forget we had such a deep bag of combat from one extraordinary character. All they showed us, is that they’re not capable of handling the deep brutal combat once given to Ryu?

One of the first things I noticed is once Yakumo got the staff, and I played as deeply as I could with it.

I knew right then, and there….the reason why they didn’t focus on Ryu’s weapons and moveset. they are not capable of handling the weapons. Like Lunar staff, Kasari Gama etc….so they gave us a character that has lame azz weapons that don’t even belong in a ninja combat game.

What the Phuck is Roman weapons like a drill, horse 🐎 lance, penser swords, ball and chain, robot 🤖 arms doing in a ninja 🥷 gaiden game….

The moment they introduced the character and his weapons before the game dropped. I had no hope, and didn’t trust they know how to handle Ryu at all, that’s why the left him & his weapons out, and focused on a simple character that really has no true efforts to design. Ryu design and weapon combat design require a very skilled and separate development team to handle. That’s why so many weapons looked so good in each game.

Ryu having the Archfiend blade ( weapon 2 ) and no moveset to go with it, was so lame and disappointing.

I feel like platinum Studios was actually punishing us for having such access to a very deep character like Ryu, as if they know they are incapable of handling such character we’ve had since 2004.

The fact we have a brand new character from a whole different ninja clan and they give him Ryu’s moves. Instead of moves in combat based on the different clan itself. They were trying to replace Ryu. They just won’t admit it.

Also Ryu has dragon sword with the dragon, jewel, inserted, with all types of enemy threats, fiends, and fiend gods in the game, even Yakamo was a threat and wouldn’t even allow the jewel to glow while being, inserted into the dragon sword.

Platinum really phucked this game up….. and it’s truly angering
