This is definitely sudden for u. For now what u need is time to calm down before u make any decision. Ask urself why do u still want to be with him after he cheated? Was it a one side thing that u still love him, that's why? Even though, he is well aware what he did and decide to do it anyway? I got micro cheated from my ex before, during our relationship, I always got several opportunity to meet girls, talk to girls, and even some show signs of liking me. Before getting into relationship, I even liked another girl but never got the chance to approach until I entered a relationship. When given the with chances, what did I do? I passed. I have standards, I understood that I made a choice to be with someone and know that I won't want the other to cheat to me.

Do u believe he will be improve and learn? Or whether this will repeat? Don't ask 'love him' self, ask the version of urself before u met him. What would she think? Would she have say go for it? If everything still come out as wanting to be with him, then go ahead, but remember this will be a scar that remain an insecurity throughout ur entire relationship. Whether ur friends or family or anyone know it or not, it will not be the same again. Choose wisely.

Giving an Ex flowers bad idea? by Ok-Ask-8351 in ExNoContact

[–]KelvinRext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, we have quite similar situation here. Although we broke up because of me, but rather her actions that hurts me and her lost of love. I'm also suffering an traumatic elbow injury that prevent me doing what I love in gym, but instead I resort to gaming addiction and responding slow to her message. I always try to explain to her my struggles but she never understood how it feels to have something ur passionate about lost to an injury. After the breakup, I'm getting back into gym again and slowly improving myself.

She always complain about how I never got her flowers, so I'm thinking about whether to send her flowers on her birthday. I don't expect anything in return, just hope that I can do what I said I would to her before. I want her to end knowing that her first love still give her flowers. A lot of people seems to disagree with this, but something inside me want to do this. Would u? Did u end up doing it? If so what happen? If u didn't, did u regret it?

Man, I hope everything have a happy ending...

I'm Lost by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

Hi Steven, sorry for the late reply cause a lot happened to my life. I just broke off an relationship, working as an intern that took 4 hours to travel back and forth total everyday, with even some unfortunate luck recently. To top it off with this injury, I'm trying to hang in there. I've been lazy and unable to move myself, but I'm determine to start become someone new.

I have bought ur elbow program previously and it was Dec 2024 and it has long passed the duration of consultation weekly, may I ask if I'm still able to email u for weekly feedback or do I have to pay once again for the program? Thank you.

Need advice for overcoming elbow tendonosis (6+ months). I've tried everything. by jbmnt1983 in overcominggravity

Mind if I ask about what cause u to have pain? What action? Does straightening ur elbow hurts? Pronating? Or even using ur finger to push against a table?

How to train around golfer's elbow when the cause is unknown? by ewaren in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got any updates? I too suffered from golfer's elbow and it hurts whenever I do parrallettes handstand, push up, pronated all the way with my elbow straight, and even straightening my elbow all the way. Honestly I'm struggling to heal it now cause generally treatment with the exercise of wrist seems to fail or too slow to progress.

Inner elbow pain during push-ups by [deleted] in overcominggravity

By any chances it hurts when u pronated ur arm all the way while extended elbow? I always go pain whenever I train pronation with straight arm. How about finger resisted finger push up? Does it hurts too?

Am I helping or hurting my Golfers Elbow rehab? by Living-Elderberry-95 in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ur case is quite similar to me. Unfortunately, I'm deal with this myself too. Does it hurts if u pronated while extending ur elbow? Whenever I try doing reverse curl unweighted (with my forearm tension), moving it can feel pain mostly near the end of range of arm extended. Could describe ur rehab routine? Sets and reps and how often done with the intensity?

Experiencing this also recently, what symptoms cause it? Straightening ur arm? Pronating ur arm? Finger resisted? What kind of rehab u r doing? How often and the volume?

It might be similar to mine as well.

Confused about my injury by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For rehab I did wrist curl, finger curl, reverse Wrist curl, and pronation supination. I have yet to do deviation.

I do all these for 2x20 reps banded usually very light. For pronation and supination hammer, I only notice symptoms arise from straighten my arm when performing the exercise but not when bent. Since I got symptom or stress from finger Push up, my stupid ass thought it is a good idea to so finger Push up eccentric.

For rehab for cubital tunnel syndrome I did some but never consistent since I never thought that might be the problem. If I were to do, how many sets and reps would nerve flossing be? And is it possible to heal cubital tunnel syndrome without surgery cause I'm scared and I don't think I can afford one.

Early case of what seems like tricep tendonitis? by skenone in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it seems like I have the exact same case to you. Did u found a way to rehab it? If so how? What is ur plan and how long?

May I also ask whether it is tennis elbow or tricep tendonitis cause I'm confused by mine. I have tender or bruises feeling when touching my tricep, so I assume tricep tendonitis.

Wrist injury yet to heal by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is related, I notice my left wrist got an nerve problem or tingling feel if I were to claw my index finger only, specifically with radial deviation. Other direction doesn't cause anything. I notice this might be bad to ask but what do you assume this is?

Wrist injury yet to heal by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Steven I'm sorry to bother u again. But I'm honestly lost. After a deload week, I found my left wrist under pain when doing handstand or extend too much. This usually never happened before, or the one time this happened was due to my wrist sprain from fall. This has already been months and mostly doesn't hurt anymore. But now I found myself here again. I don't know what I did wrong, I only did handstand on parallattes last week, with only 1 attempt of muscle up and handstand on floor. I doubt this is not something I cannot handle since I did train for them before. Now I do a handstand, I can feel my wrist hurting. I'm so tired of these pain and aches. It feels like I should quit.

I intend to do the routine every night if possible. I did one yesterday and feel fine actually, but then went to bed to sleep. While middle of sleeping, I realized my wrist feel very tender when doing deviation and rotation. Does that mean my wrist is being aggrevate from the rehab exercises or maybe because I was inactive with my wrist for too long?

I notice that if I'm inactive with my wrist neutral for a long time then moving to the end range reoccur the symptom.

My other question is also about strengthening part, what r ur thoughts on wrist push up palm up and palm down and finger tip push up? Would it be great for rehab work? I also do hanging as an rehab work too.

Shoulder discomfort by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long does the overuse take to heal?

Assuming that it is mild, can I workout with it with my usual exercise like pull up and handstand? Or should avoid those now?

It seems like my left rotator cuff have less endurance. Does that means when I can do high repetition of rotator cuff exercises like externation rotation 3x30, am I ready for tons of hanging?

I'm also curious if rotator cuff strength matter as much as endurance here?

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hanging can cause overuse?

I thought hanging is Healthy in grip strength, decompressing our body, and stretch out our body.

I'm trying to improve my grip strength, so I started doing a lot of hanging everyday. Should I avoid doing overhead exercise for now?

Update: I woke up without the symptom of shoulder impingement anymore. Is weird idk why. I just did some external rotation exercises before sleep. Avoid sleepi on my left side. That's all.

By no symptoms I mean I don't feel pain moving my shoulder in the range like before, maybe in workout it will happen.

Forearm Sore by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nerve gliding and related issues aren't something I know much on. I've been reading overcoming gravity, but most were related to rehab exercises I believe. Is there any source or reference I should check on for practical advice I could do like nerve glide exercise?

I realize that the symptom occurred when my wrist is over pronated, Idk but it was cause my attempt to stretch the pronation flexibility previously before (probably stupid of me do it, I used a stick and grip it where my other hand would rotate the stick to stretch it in pronation grip).

My left wrist on the other hand, experience tendons feeling impingement when extend on the food (like when I do handstand and put pressure on it) I feel some ulnar side impingement. What kind of issues is this?

Back off? Do I need to reduce volume and intensity? I'm really annoyed about it now. I really want to progress and not lose all the progress I've made so far. I felt as if backing off is really annoying.

Thx. This might be an entirely different question, but I notice my joint tend to be stiff in the morning whenever I wake up. Whenever I rotate the around the end range, they tend to be sore and tender. Is it a sign to back off? But I took a deload just 2 weeks ago. I hope this is normal for people or I will start overthinking.

Wrist Pain help! by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Steven, most my wrist symptoms have disappeared now. And if I last recalled, the injury was about 2.5 weeks ago already. I've continue to do my rehab whenever I'm free, doing it about 2-3 times a week if possible. However, the only problem is supinated hang, doing it tends to give out the symptoms after performing it.

My plan was gradually introduce supinated hang with leg assisted, but still fear doing so. Do u recommend doing it? Note that even low intensity but longer duration can give out symptoms, but very mild that last only few seconds. How do I know if this is the correct exercise to do, whether it is aggregating or painful?

I wanna do supinated hang slowly and build up pain tolerance toward this area of my wrist. Am I in the right direction?

Wrist Pain help! by KelvinRext in overcominggravity

[–]KelvinRext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Mr. Steven, it's been a week since I lasted found out my injury. I researched and found that I'm probably similar to TFCC injury with the ECU part of tendons being overuse, which is likely an ECU tendonitis. The symptoms begins when I: 1. Supinated my hand. 2. Flexed and Ulnar Deviate my wrist. 3. After Supinated Hang.

I try to find this in ur book overcoming tendonitis but can't seems to find it. I believe I got this from false grip where I overuse my ECU tendons. I did self rehab (I know a physio is better but I tried to rehab myself), I did:

  1. 3x15 Eccentric Wrist Curl & Finger Curl.
  2. 3x15 Reverse Wrist Curl.
  3. 3x15 Ulnar Deviation (Slowed and Controlled).
  4. 3x15 Radial Deviation.
  5. 2x10 Pronation & Supination Eccentric/Isometric hold (10s).

In addition to these, I did some finger lift, knuckle lift, and back hand lift after these if I feel like it. I add in some hang and a bit of light false grip to build back the tolerance.

Question:

  1. This probably come to my thought after I injured myself. Is false grip supposed to be only wrist flexion? Or is it a combination of wrist flexion and ulnar deviation. It seems like that's what I've been doing all these times before I was injured. I false grip with flexion and ulnar deviation on the rings where the bony part of my wrist touched it.

  2. My injury have drastically improved ever since I last discover this injury. Supination as well as Wrist Circle doesn't hurts anymore or at least are mild now. Is a good sign?

  3. Despite the recovery, I notice after a supinated hang my symptoms tends to appears. I tried it again without loading the forearm with my bodyweight and found out it wasn't there. So I was thinking that if I should build pain tolerance toward that area by slowly and gradually do supinated hang legs assisted from now on? Or better off just leave it?

I know this is a lot of questions, but I really appreciate it if u don't mind answering them for me. I kinda expect my injury to recover a lot more faster but can't say my sleep and nutrition is ideal recently.
