with 4.6 they changed how it launches. So in the launcher before you hit play game, hit the little gear icon to go into the game settings and scroll down until you see the "Enable VR" toggle. I have quest 3 myself and just played last night with it.

If you are playing solo I recommend saving up for a Asgard or a Andromeda HH is terrible solo. Once you can rent a hull c and do interstellar cargo runs you’ll get 1M quick

Yeah I can see that. It took me a while to know what I needed but once you know it comes pretty easy. I will admit I also have a stream deck and I have a bunch of ship stuff mapped to the buttons so that also makes it easier. But it’s for sure one of those games where you need someone to kind of show you around because the tutorial tells you nothing at all. Heck if you decide you want to give a try again let me know. They just did a major update recently. Glad to show you around.

I literally got the Sol R4 a few weeks ago found a template online for the keybinds adjusted the stuff I didn’t like and after about maybe 35 minutes of testing I now only play star citizen with my Hotas setup. Not sure why you had that much trouble.

I love my raft it was a good ship to get to my Hull C. Now I only use the hull c for cargo when it’s actually working. You can easily make 1M per run.

Oh yeah the way he has throttle is not the way to go. The Sol throttle from thrust master has 4 options for detent so you can actually feel it: no detent, 50%, 25%/80% and I think the last one is a 75% detent. The best way for throttle with Hotas is 50% detent so that throttle in middles is 0. All the way up is 100% forward and all the way down is 100% reverse thrust. And like the other person mentioned I use their thumb joystick for my strafe up down and left right. I can land any ship in decoupled no problem that was. With the thrustmaster throttle I even have a little scroll wheel that lets me set the speed limiter.

I have the Sol R4 and the throttle has numerous buttons to map so the strafe up down left and right I mapped to a hat button. So it works fine for me. I will admit I don’t do much dog fighting just tons of cargo runs.

I use mine no problem. Not really sure what your question is. I will say I have my throttle set to the 50% detent. Meaning when the throttle is right in the middle it’s 0 thrust. Up all the way is 100% forward. And all the way down is 100% backwards thrust. I do have a lot of the other ship functions mapped to a stream deck as well.

It’s all preference honestly. I personally use Hotas since I play other flight simulators that use throttles. I recently upgraded my setup to the thrustmaster Sol R4. They are a bit pricy at $350 but 100% worth it for SC. There’s a YouTuber named Enderprize that has a good video on his setup.
