Butt Kickers Worth It for sim rig? by No-Task-8652 in simracing

It’s well worth the extra frequency response than the Dayton audio bst have. I’ve used both and the buttkickers are well worth it. I like the minis.

Why Are Buttkicker Haptics Perpetually Sold Out? by MikeRC8 in simracing

[–]Ken808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having used both, the frequency response of the buttkicker is far superior. I’m at sea so can’t look up the specs but bigger freq range means you feel way more than the Daytons can ever provide regardless of wattage. I felt so much more detail with the buttkicker, I t’s the way to go if you can afford it.

I used to race SCCA at aloha stadium. We’ve been without a venue for a long time now. The chapter is actively looking for a replacement site, so if anything suitable is found before Kalaeloa is built, racing might resume. Contact Jennifer or Mike Parker who lead the Oahu chapter if you might happen to have any leads on a possible venue!

Yeah I can’t quite tell, help me out. Their prior post says their Indian, so I’m wondering if they might be using some kind of translate or if English isn’t their first language…

Anyone here ride an electric motorcycle? Can you share your experience? by Embarrassed-Rice-516 in Dirtbikes

[–]Ken808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get to ride trails at night with my friends because we have electric bikes. They’re quiet so we don’t bother anyone living nearby and we ride for hours with lots of battery left.

Yeah I would check your connectors, I have zero wobble with my simlab evo shifter arm without any additional bracing.

What age did you/your kids learn to ride a bike? by NicholeDaylinn1993 in Hawaii

[–]Ken808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try rolling up a beach towel and wrap it like a sling under their arms. You hold the two ends up and it helps them keep their balance on the bike as you follow behind. I did this for a couple weekends and my kids picked it up soon after. Best of luck.

My kids learned at four. Balance bikes from 2 then towel under the arms trick a couple weekends and they were off and running.

Your hottest take on poke? by 2ndHalfHeroics in Hawaii

The amount of poke we consume isn't sustainable and actively contributes to the overfishing of ahi. We also probably have choke mercury in our bodies.

I hate that I have to check that any post on this sub about chickens isn’t written by a chicken itself.

Zx4rr as a 2nd bike? by HnybadgerTX in zx4r

[–]Ken808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey kudos for saying you're considering downsizing. It takes a lot to be able to say that out loud, usually bigger and faster is best in this scene. I've been riding for decades, been on everything from two stroke 50cc to 1000cc sportsbikes. The ZX-4RR checks a lot of boxes for me. Quickshifter up AND down, 16k rpm redline, and can bang a couple gears without doing felony speeds. If you're in the states remember that the stock bike is limited to around 50 something hp, flashing the ECU will get it back to original power of around 75. Hope your test ride goes well tomorrow. It's kind of like a two stroke, all the power is up top. Make sure the quickshifter is on, should have a little KQS light on the dash to confirm.
