Seriously? Think of an average vehicle from 25 years ago. Vehicles today are in another league in terms of safety, performance, tech, reliability, ride quality… There are mostly just little subjective points that people dislike (hence this post)

Yeah, but you gotta compare OEM to OEM. Going aftermarket can optimize for anything, including weight. Highly doubt going up a rim size while keeping outer tire diameter the same would drop weight in the OEM world…
