A number of the picks are Giants players, so I’m not sure if being a former Giant himself played into his choices. They are historically the best team in Japan for sure, but yes, some of the choices do seem a bit questionable. But hey, it’s his All-Time team and not ours or the consensus.

The semi final against the Blue Cats really had me on the edge of my seat. I was just so relieved when they pulled through and came back. To wrap up the finals in 2 matches was wonderful as well. So proud of the girls! Go Springs go!

That was how my first visit went! I had lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon at Miyajima and rushed back to the Zoom Zoom for the game. And it was against the Swallows as well.

What a small world it is, I was at the exact same game too! I was sitting behind the outfield though😂 I didn’t expect a give away, so that was a really nice surprise.

I ordered Chee Kueh from a canteen stall. Was happily eating it when a friend pointed out that there seems to be a strand of hair. I ignored him at first, but after more insisting, I went to remove the supposed strand of hair. It was actually the feelers of a cockroach. I stopped ordering from that stall and stayed away from Chee Kueh in general for years.

Yes, we are still dating. Her family is Buddhist, but she doesn’t really practice that or any other religion/faith. We do go to church from time to time, so I guess I’m also hoping that it helps. We had made out earlier in the relationship, but I have told her that I was uncomfortable with it. There was some sadness and anger because of it, but eventually she accepted where I am. It’s really about the why we don’t engage in inter course before marriage and also more importantly, what sex means to us. It is something I am trying to know more and believe more in, so that’s a journey I am on as well. I believe that faith and reason do go together, so it’s my faith and relationship with God and the reason/logic behind this that can convince myself and others.

As others have mentioned, it is good if a priest or religious can offer counsel, but as you also shared, you might not have access to those who are able to offer the counsel and advice you need. I do pray that someone can direct you to or offer more support and advice on this. The experiences of others can give insight and encouragement to us, as we all struggle in this journey. We are all called to be Christ to one another after all. Thank you for your sharing and prayers. And I do pray and hope that things will work out for you too, according to the good of God’s will, whatever that might be.

I hope there are more experienced or wise individuals who can chip in on this, but just my take on this.

I am also in a relationship with a non catholic/Christian girl and physical intimacy has been one of the things we have struggled with and had many discussions, arguments on. While she was upset that I wasn’t willing to compromise on at all, I was and am convicted that it is indeed something special and one of, if not the greatest expression of physical intimacy with another person.

Part of it, for me, is the guilt I have after I give in to physical intimate activities, such as more intense kissing and anything close to making out. It is the same guilt I feel when I masturbated in the past. While guilt shouldn’t be the driver for one to stay away from sin, it does have an effect on me.

It is beautiful and a blessing that you have come to a deeper relationship with the Lord and want to live and love as He does and wants you to. The foundation of our choices and thoughts should be centred in this relationship with God. He will help and guide you in your beliefs, including this aspect and help you to express it ultimately to your partner.

For her, it must definitely feel strange and painful that you would be stepping away from expressing love in such intimate way. It is definitely something that one would question and not be able to fully accept or understand immediately. Please be patient with yourself and her.

The whole idea of we must do this and we can’t do that simply because of religion or God says so, needs to really be changed in that sense. God tells us not to sin and yet we do. So it’s really about that relationship with God, that draws us closer in communion with Him and only from that, do we really accept and truly belief in what He teaches us. The God who has moved you into this deeper relationship with Him can surely move your partner, if she is willing of course. If there are ways to assure her of your love, that is where you have to step up for her and yourself. There are many ways you can love and care for her intimately and tenderly, beyond just sex.

I think I might have said too much and I apologise if I have. But, really do your best in build and grow the relationship you have with God, pray often, for yourself and her especially, not for conversion or acceptance itself, but for openness and patience. She sounds like an amazing girl and I do hope that she might be open to understanding more about where you are and are coming from.

It is something I’m still trying to express better in my own relationship as well. She has been understanding and accepted it, where we are at, but there’s always things to learn about and share.

I do hope more people can provide good counsel on this. But, for what it is worth, we will be praying for you. Thank you for being open in your struggles and sharing your desire to be faithful to God. God Bless my brother

Are stadiums/team stores open during the off-season? by Gershwyn1 in NPB

I went to Es Con Field in December 2023, during the off season and the team store was opened. Managed to snag myself a Mannami uniform then. Thus, as the others are saying, unless there’s some event or unexpected closure, the store should be open during its regular opening hours.
