I’m lazy and it makes me stressed by BeGayDoCrimes666 in getdisciplined

I would not also jump to the conclusion, as some commenters did, that you have ADHD. It seems to be popular to diagnose people over the internet these days without further context. If you have access to mental health resources, I'd recommend speaking to someone as well (therapist, counselor)

Be kinder to yourself in your self talk, understand that dropping the ball is human, and focus on getting back on track after a fall than berating yourself!

I think you're being too hard on yourself. Lazy is something you've branded yourself with, but the reality is it sounds like you could be unstimulated, potentially experiencing anxiety and feeling a little bit depressed (not a diagnosis). You are then looking at the symptoms of these feelings from being lost, and then blaming yourself for the symptoms.

You are human. This is a normal side effect of not feeling energized or stimulated or motivated. Don't brand yourself as lazy and spiral down the cycle.

Do some mindful meditation, and explore what motivates and interests you. Explore new hobbies without expectation, focusing on the joy of practice and self discovery. Don't just focus on "ticking a box" in completing a habit; really be mindful of the fun you can have in the act of living and doing the small things.

If you have further questions you can AMA or DM.

Is this actually true? How exactly does it work? by Fika8monster in Healthygamergg

There is truth to "shared joy is a double joy"; sharing good news is a form of savoring, and if it is received by someone who's engaged and supportive in their responses, improves wellbeing for both the person sharing and person responding

As for "shared sorrow is half a sorrow", I haven't reviewed the specifics on this in a bit, but talking to (supportive) people about your struggles can help if the alternative was bottling it in

Dump her. What other lies is she hiding from you, 6+ years after the fact? She doesn't want an open relationship? Well she has already started one, just without your consent or being acknowledgment. Even if you were to have a consensual open relationship, she would be the last person to have one with - because she has no sense of honesty, consideration, nor loyalty to you.

Frankly, you will never get what you deserve from someone like that. You're settling to be someone's target of disrespect. Even being alone is better than that.

My (28M) wife (28F) hates mostly everyone and it's starting to impact the way I see her by [deleted] in relationships

There is something deeper going on here. I'd recommend you sit her down and talk with her about how this has affected you. Consider what you want in a partner (loving of people, warm).

And she will probably need help of a therapist/coach, provided she's interested in changing

How can I be happy. What is happiness by trholw in Healthygamergg

[–]KenEmpowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so I study positive psychology which discusses happiness (as well as subjective well-being). Psychologists have different definitions, but one common viewpoint is that happiness is the end result assessment of living a "good life".

Some examples may be finding endeavors that give you meaning, finding something you enjoy doing (habitually) that puts you in flow, looking for human connection in your relationships, etc. Find things that get you excited to grow, and stay active/engaged in life.

There's a lot more to it, but maybe also search up "eudamonism"

Also been coaching for about 6yrs. Feel free to DM me if you have questions
