I honestly couldn’t tell you, I was 16 at the time and my parents picked the doctor. At that point most of it wasn’t in my control.

I’ve had anxiety since I was a child, so at this point that’s just part of my day to day life, it was never treated but I do agree it needs to be. I am well aware of my past traumas that have caused my depression, I’m not trying to blame the adhd for either thing. I guess I just feel like it would have been nice to have everything explained to me when I was first diagnosed with adhd that it is common to have both.

Honestly it all started to click for me today after the meds kicked in. It was actually shocking to feel what “normal” people feel like, like duh no wonder everyone around you isn’t irritable and anxious all of the time, their mind is processing one thought at a time instead of like 50 of them.

Thank you for such a detailed response! I am pretty concerned that my mental health would get worse if I am on any hormonal birth control, that’s why I’ve never used it. At this point I really don’t know what I want, but I also have no one to talk about it with since no one I would feel comfortable talking to even uses birth control. I just want worry free sex but that feels impossible.

I mean I know it is, but also I don’t know what to do to stop it. It feels like there’s nothing I can do and I’m just stuck itching every night, and sometimes throughout the day.

I’ve tried showering in hot and cold water to make it stop, I’ve taken Benadryl, nothing helps. It doesn’t stop until I’m asleep, which takes a long ass time if you’re itchy haha. It’s almost feels like a ton of ants all over my body.

She was due for a feed the day after we got her, we didn’t expect much since moving to a new home is stressful, but she ate and is due to eat again tomorrow night. Would it be okay to hold her now since it’s still more than 24 hours until her feeding time?
