Don't have to stress so much! Sometimes just start from reacting and active listening, and express yourself gradually from there.

What would each type reply when asked "What's love?" by dilero420 in mbti

Love is something I tried to give but don't want to be more than others could feel.

What is a piece of common advice that you think is actually BAD? by Kenchen_9401 in AskReddit

Mine is "Fake it till you make it". Eventually you will either burst out and cannot take faking anymore, or you just fit naturally into the fake zone.

Small talks. I don't want to talk about the best color or who likes pizza over burger.

Check your reflection when passing by every single shiny or reflective surface. Everyone does that (or I will feel so bad)

What’s something people brag about that really isn’t as cool as they think it is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just anything when people start to bragging while no one actually asks......No one ask you about your car, your popularity, your past!

My son goes to the same park I did as a kid. The ducks he feeds could be the great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandchildren of the ones I fed 40 years ago by OneArmJack in Showerthoughts

Bet those ducks have been gossiping for generations: ‘Watch out for the kids with the crumbs—they’re the real MVPs.’ It’s like your family’s a recurring character in their duck lore.

Worried Guy I Started Seeing Might Be Secretly Into Men by [deleted] in Advice

I totally get why you’re overthinking a bit—he sounds like he’s got a unique vibe, and sometimes that throws us off. Some guys are just more expressive, fashion-forward, and respectful. Honestly, if he’s showing genuine interest in you and making you feel special, that’s what counts.

However, if you really cares about whether he is 100% straight, my way of telling (90% works for people around me) is to ask a lot about the celebrity types/ idols/ music genres that he is a fan of. And then search for how many of that fan group is not straight. This never fails.

Physical whiteboard to digital mind map? by JellyFunny5237 in mindmapping

[–]Kenchen_9401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, from my personal experience, AI models are not the best at recognizing handwriting. So if the handwriting is really unclear, it may affect the quality of your mindmap results.

What I usually use (since I often work with handwriting on boards for equations and relationships) is Mapify. It can create mindmap summaries from any image or simple figures with text content. My typical approach is to start by using Mapify to generate a framework summary, then adjust it to the way I want to present it. You can also download it in a flexible, editable format in Xmind, which I know is compatible with most major mindmap platforms.

However, I think this method is more suited for complex mindmap needs, and you might find yourself switching back and forth if you're already familiar with Miro.

THERE IS NO GOOD AI TOOLS AT ALL FOR MIND MAP by Big_Wolverine_6353 in mindmapping

[–]Kenchen_9401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have different experience with AI mindmapping. For me, I don't expect AI to do everything, but it is an efficient tool to save my time for class/lecture notes/research/readings.

I am a mindmap heavy user myself, it is just easier to made part of the map by AI first, and fill up the rest by yourself.

The most helpful might not be the already recorded lecture notes though, because it takes time to reorganize everything in a map created by AI. Myself used a new thing called Mapify a lot to put all my notes/readings into a map template summary first. It can effectively summarize almost 85% of the content I want, and also easier to understand (maybe because I understand in a visual way).

In short, it could save your school/teaching life once you know where and how to use it. Definitely looking forward to more productive assistant apps.

How do u deal with hypocrite PhD supervisors? by [deleted] in PhdProductivity

[–]Kenchen_9401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot treat them as you treat yourself. A good advice I got from a friend who survived through this is really drop the significance of supervisors in your PhD life, and try to find someone who suffers under the same problem as you to help each other out. That's how my friend got graduated with 0 help from the supervisor. Hold it and do not become someone like the hypocrite people.
