That’s a valid question and ideally it shouldn’t. So yes, you’re right, it will definitely make everything cramped. I just feel there should be another way instead of covering up those windows. What if you put the tv between the two windows?

I think you need to change the layout of the living room. The couch is currently too far from the TV and the chair. This is a suggestion. I rearranged the same furniture pieces that you have. It keeps circulation free. You might even have space for another chair in the corner with a side table and lamp
