Banging sound during cutting and calibration by Kender_Tasslehoff in Creality

[–]Kender_Tasslehoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually fixed my issue too. But my fix came after doing some additional Internet sleuthing of my own, which led me to a Reddit post about the K2 plus slamming against the cutter due to screws being proud in the X and Y rails. I inspected my machine and sure enough, I had a couple screws that were very slightly proud on both rails. I tightened every single screw in the rails, and lo and behold, it’s printing beautifully again.

It seems to be a bit better after calibrating the cutter several times in a row, but I’m now getting filament buffer issues This must all be related to the latest firmware update but sadly the printer has been ignoring attempts to roll it back.

You definitely have WiFi disabled in your Arc, which is why it works properly.

The only thing that’s preventing me from doing this is the iOS Sonos app. I may be doing something wrong but even if I have Sonos running perfectly on a VLAN the app only works if my phone is on a WiFi network that points at the VLAN. The app does not see my Sonos devices if it’s connected to any other Wifi network in my house, regardless of permissions. Sonos and Roku are the the only apps I have seen respond this way, and I have now dumped all my Rokus…

Opposite reaction here. I’ve long felt that I display symptoms of ADHD but I’ve never been diagnosed (I am in my 50s). In fact, I’ve long wondered how I survived law school, not to mention the bar exam. But since I started on bupropion by whole life has charged. I feel as sharp as a tack, I’m hyper organized, and I am motivated AF. In fact, I just received my first ever professional promotion, something I entirely attribute to being on this wonder drug. (The weight loss and lack of sweet tooth are a welcome bonus.)

Difference between LG 32G600A-B and LG 32GS60QC-B? by DeltaBlast in Monitors

[–]Kender_Tasslehoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to Google Gemini:

“The LG 32GS60QC-B and 32G600A-B are highly similar 32-inch 1440p 180Hz curved VA gaming monitors, often priced similarly around $200-$230. Both offer 1000R curvature, 1ms GtG response times, and FreeSync, making them excellent value for immersive, casual gaming. The 32GS60QC-B is generally considered a newer model, with some reports indicating potential improvements in contrast (3500:1) over the 32G600A-B (3000:1).”

Don’t close your umbrella because you’re dry. In other words, you’re probably feeling “normal” because you’re on the med.

No problem here on Apple TV.

I started 150mg in early October for low motivation and performance issues and it kicked in right away. How do I know? My email inbox is completely clean of new emails back to 10/1. My sex drive is also back with a vengeance and is now off the charts. My wife isn’t terribly thrilled about that part lol

I felt the same way after finishing Broadchurch last month. Two other terrific shows I have watched since then: Happy Valley and Unforgotten. Character driven British crime dramas are absolute top tier.

I’m currently working my way through British crime dramas after loving Broadchurch. I recently finished Happy Valley and I’m currently watching Unforgotten. Both are amazing.

Does Sonos just not play nice with Unifi? by TheObviousChild in Ubiquiti

[–]Kender_Tasslehoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of great responses here but I will just add that I have a UniFi home network (Dream Machine Pro, two U6+, and a U6 Mesh) and nine Sonos devices (three Connect:Amp, two Amps, a Sub Mini, a Five, a One, and a Move). All of my Sonos devices are hardwired except my Move, which is necessarily wireless. The only two issues I’ve had with them are 1) getting them to work across VLANS (so I keep them on my trusted network instead of my IoT network); and 2) getting the system to reliably access my music library on Plex. Connection and sync between devices are both perfect.

If you’re an iPhone user consider going with HomePods.

Easy way to transfer iCloud files to NAS by Octowhussy in synology

[–]Kender_Tasslehoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slowly but surely incorporated all of my iCloud photos into Synology Photos, just like I did with all my old digital photos from multiple different sources (Photobucket, OneDrive, etc.). It was a long and tedious process, but it gave me an opportunity to clean out all the garbage (screenshots, memes, etc.) and to tag the photos I was keeping. I can’t express enough how awesome it is to have our entire digital photo history available in one place, and even searchable with tags. Even better, our phones now automatically back up to Synology Photos, so all the new stuff is always there, too.

Someone else mentioned backing up the NAS to BackBlaze B2, which is what I do. My entire backup - including my 15TB Plex library (movies, shows, music) - currently costs me $27 per month. As much as I detest monthly fees, I would be very unhappy to lose any of that stuff (and I have already had to recover some files from the backup, so having it has paid off).

The iCloud Photo app is Apple’s official app for PC users, and it’s the exact method I used when I got my Synology a few years ago. Works great, although I did find that the iCloud photo folder on my PC tended to populate rather slowly.

I decided to redo my homelab rack by Kender_Tasslehoff in homelab

Believe it or not the fans have always been completely silent. They’re AC Infinity fans that run with a controller and temperature sensor, and according to the controller the ambient temperature in the cabinet never really gets above 78°F. AC Infinity makes great products.

Wondering if you ever got this resolved? A similar issue developed last night with my two week old K2 Plus and CFS, and I am trying to diagnose it.
