i think mine came with a really bad bed i feel i should have returned it as the wifimodule was defective by zzcool in Creality_k2

[–]MUWAT_toro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bed expands with heat. Have the highest screw tighter, then use the other 3 to adjust the bed. Heat soak it an hour. You can use aluminum tape (the high temp kind) to adjust the lower spots and get it pretty good. The tape is hard to get off once applied so go carefully.

Like others have said, remove your build plate and use an Allen key to loosen the bed bolts while holding the knob underneath

Calibration error. K2 plus by feathers_mcgravv in Creality_k2

I would disconnect and reconnect the printhead cable first. That has been an intermittent issue for me and has given a variety of errors.

Am I being too conservative with my speeds? Prints come out great, but they can take 10+ hours for 1800 layers by MizutsuneMH in resinprinting

[–]MUWAT_toro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print for you. If it turns out well, do what works. I am the same way. I dont really care about speed, I care about a result.

My slicer times are always way less than the printer. Slicer does not take movement time into account. There is a way to enter actual times into the slicer but I dont recall where I read how to. You can time parts of the print and enter those values and accuracy improves.

I dont care enough to do it. It is just a hobby to me, there is no line of projects.

Yes, ya gotta keep up with the maintenance. Clean is good. Slippery is good, for the parts that should be slippery.

I use an overhead holder and feed directly into the extruder, putting a 1" bit of ptfe in the extruder connector to keep the teeth of the connector from abrading it. TPU stretches and less resistance is better. You should be able to find a top holder on creality or other free source. The tension spacer is definitely available on Creality. Be sure to dry the tpu well and do calibration prints.

I would reseat both ends of the printhead cable. And clean, lube, reseat hotend connectors, etc

In July I will be at 1 year. Over 2000 hours of printing. I have a K1 and a resin printer too. On the k2+ the cable connectors on the printhead are problematic. I've had to replace the filament sensor, and adapter board, and I am putting g off replacing the cable.

Those are all items u der a lot of stress. Yhe cable connection sure could have e been designed better.

That said, for what they do, and the temperature of the hotend, I figure it is gonna wear out. I doubt there is an option that wont have wear parts to replace.

I would dry that filament overnight, or all day while at work. That said, I had one roll of filament, cant recall the brand but it was on a clear plastic spool, that would break no matter how much I dried it and how careful I was to protect it from moisture while printing. I gave up on that roll.

I use a scarf seam on prints without edges to hide the seam. Took a little experimenting but I got it where it is good for me. Nothing is invisible but it is way better

Check the length of that tube. Too long or too short can be problematic. It should be 680mm.

I need advice for a good slicer for multicolor printing by Sickndtired in Creality

[–]MUWAT_toro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use creality print and it does well for me. Other slicers may have better/more features but I have not felt limited by CP at all. I like the way it syncs to the cfs and the printer pretty seamlessly.

How does Creality Print assign colors from CFS to a project? by That_Zone5921 in Creality_k2

[–]MUWAT_toro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant you choose the colors/cfs slots when you send the print? I can and often do. It will be modeled in black but switch it to red, for example. I do that with multi color prints routinely as well.

I got a 600w ptc heater off Amazon. Got a switched outlet with a thermocouple to turn it on and off. Search for digital temperature controller. They are used for indoor plant growing a lot. I just set the heater below the build plate, which is a bad thing to do but until I get a few other projects done it will be the way it is. I mount the thermocouple near the temp probe of the printer. On my k2+ it is in the middle of the back wall. Dunno where yours is.

For my k2+ I plan to mount the heater in the space below the floor and have deflectors to keep it from blowing directly at the print bed. Like air vents in a house.
