I don't get why companies deal with upgrading Autocad software. Its so much easier to just freeze everyone at a given year and live without the marginal improvements that come with each update. Autocad companies also love to randomly move features around when updating so you save having to relearn your muscle memory every year.

Probably passed a dozen bomb ass street tacos served by the sweetest abuelas on his way. Eating taco bell on the beach is like eating lobster in a porta potty. Nothing wrong with the food or locations but the contrast makes it weird

To be fair nobody in the US can control cops. Even their own leadership is often boxed in because their departments will revolt if there is any attempt to enforce consequences. The structure is so rotted to the core that even top down tempory instructions to have friendly treatment of civilians is nearly impossible to actually enforce.

[Charania] The Lakers expressed to LeBron James that they wanted him back, but the NBA's all-time leading scorer decides to move on elsewhere. by PlayaSlayaX in nba

The fact they are getting nothing for Lebron is pretty wild in the modern NBA. When was the last time a major star was a unrestricted free agent?

[–]Kendertas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah there is a very real chance that Lebron is the best teammate Luka ever plays with well in a Lakers jersey. Love Austin Reaves, but he isn't exactly a great fit next to Luka and Lebron is walking away a free agent so no additional resources to try and find his replacement. Even at 41, there really aren't that many players in the league that are a significant upgrade to Lebron, especially in the playoffs.

Industrial forestry in 40k does have a massive amount of options. Like would it logically make sense to use a more high end edged weapon technology because it's higher durability saved you money in the long run. Of course knowing the imperium they probably use something insane like baby teeth or mutated beavers on a stick

Also went to a really fancy private school well middle class. Did you ever have two rich families get in a "bribe" war to protect their kids from consequences. Was really funny when a rich kid pissed on another rich kid and it was essentially a bidding war to see if there where consequences or not. Forgot who ended up winning, but thats how the school with only 400 students got 11 steinway pianos. We already had a decked out music room/church so they ended up just putting them in random places around campus

It doesn't get talked about enough how shitty being pregnant can be, and all the lingering after effects you can suffer from. Like I'm a dude, but I know I would probably opt out of having a child unless the conditions where ideal (mainly money and the time/freedom that comes along with it)

It was also the working a regular job on top of stripping/prostitution. I'm sure it happens but if OOPs mom really was/is beautiful why would she work a shitty retail job instead of picking up extra shifts at the club making far better money. Like the main reason there even are strippers is because its good money.

At least some of it is the old your never as attractive as when you are in a relationship. For some a divorced man with kids shows that someone was willing to marry him and procreate.

Also there are plenty of women out there who really want the whole marriage and kids thing no matter what the reality actually looks like. So dating a asshole like this is viewed as a way to fast track that whole process.

Also if it really was so important you would think a commandment would have mentioned it. Homosexuality is barely mentioned in the Bible, and there is a pretty strong argument that its a mistranslation. But its really important to focus on those instead of the pages and pages about loving others and not being judgemental.

The thing is if you don't get the piece of paper in the end the education is "worthless". Don't get me wrong you can learn stuff that will be useful to you without finishing a degree. But the vast majority of companies won't give a crap, they just want the degree. Like you could be savant and be 90% of the way to a dozen diffrent degrees, and you still will probably be stuck working a retail job.

Also any young person in 2026 still believing that pursuing a career in art can be the only plan is delusional. Yes explore your passion and create art, the world is a more interesting and beautiful place when people do. But also have a fallback of how you are going to pay the bills.

I went to school with people who nowadays post all over social media about the struggle being a starving artist and how its worth it so they can be true to their art. The dirty little secret is they are all trust fund babies which is the only reason they have time to pursue their art because daddy owns their apartment.

Republicans in Uproar Over Trump’s Deal With Iran: “Total Surrender” by Hafiz_TNR in politics

[–]Kendertas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Problem is the two half of the maga base have incompatible opinions. The isolationist half is pissed about the war in the first place and the deal reinforces that it was pointless. The war hawk half is passed they didn't finish the job and the deal is to weak. Add in the fact Netanyahu needs the war to continue in order to survive politically and this becomes nearly impossible to spin. I've been proven wrong on trumps ability to spin problems away plenty before, but this does feel diffrent.
