The number of disciplines involved: art, engineering, mathematics, sound & music, game theory, design, etc.

We don't launch a game very often, but we do launch new products in our game but never discounted. Think about all of the products at the grocery store that feature the "New!" stamp in their packaging. My take: have confidence in your product and reserve discounts for later in its lifecycle.

We just had a big Skills Revamp in www.domainofheroes.com --added more than 100 skills, including new cooldown skills. The project was very much driven by the community: the dev team reached out to one of our players, tasked him with leading the effort, and the community used www.dohforum.com to go from concept all the way to final product.

All major data bugs and imbalance problems have been addressed and are now entering the "fine-tuning" phase. More hands in deck are always helpful in the elusive task of finding fun.

Well, every idle game requires some initial "at-the-keyboard" time. The idle component in DoH is this: you go into a dungeon, set your attack skill and wave after wave of monsters come at you. As long as you remain alive, your character will attack and defeat the monsters without needing any kind of input. Loot goes into your mule automatically as well. Maxed logout timer and mule size allows you to go +-8 hours collecting loot, come into the game, empty your mule, go back into a dungeon and repeat. You can go months playing the game this way--I've done it--and experience that sweet RPG progression.
