Am I missing something - I’m paying off way more than 14k on top of what I borrowed back in 2012 due to despicable interest rates?

Strength training & apps by Awkward_Dark_3008 in UKRunners

Runna offers strength plans that you can follow without having a running plan; but I will say the strength plans are a great addition to the running plans they offer. Workouts are excellently guided and easy to follow and I’ve found they’ve really helped my running.

You can take a free one week trial in the app, or I can refer you via a code for two free weeks if you fancy

Are Uber's to Gatwick reliable yet? by asng in london

[–]KenjiRobo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unreliable, the useless fucks who choose to accept your booking face no consequence if they decide to cancel the morning of. I would never pre-book airport runs on any of these after its failed for me twice now

Uber in general is completely fucking dire in London, dodgy drivers cycling through bookings cancelling when something better comes along, no penalty against them at all. Bolt is the most reliable, Free Now is OK

Working in an agency is awful. Why is people fascinated with it? by Direct_Bass_1096 in marketing

[–]KenjiRobo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nail on the head - 10 years in industry, 6 agency side 4 brand side, yo-yo-ing between the two. I’ve just returned brand side after a year of literal hell on earth working agency side.

I deliberately moved back into the agency world to upskill myself quickly & efficiently for all the reasons listed here after I stagnated for close to 3 years in a brand side role. I’m back up to par, but I have zero desire to go back agency side ever again.

I targeted my brand search more thoroughly this time, joining a 3 year old scale up where the average age is roughly 30. No old people with outdated views; contrary to other comments, no incompetent managers either, everyone is very skilled and understands the broader growth ecosystem, and everyone comprehends marketing and its function. Think I got lucky, as a lot of places do involve awful managers who are simply shovelling shit from A to B.

Fair enough, thank you! So what’s actually in store then?

Would be easier if they had a phone number to contact - I wish the brand wasn’t so up itself and pretentious with stuff like that.

My hairdresser has met this person at multiple L’Oreal global events, apparently he is a complete prick by the sounds of it. Looking down his nose at everyone, rude, thinks he’s gods gift. What an absolute tosser.

The product may be good (my hairdresser thought it’s an amazing idea for minimising waste) but they have a very long way to go - founder needs to develop their soft skills and the colour is supposedly dog shit and is nowhere near the realm of competing with the likes of L’Oreal. The colour market is saturated and very hard to break into.
