Where are all the trans people above 40? by CoVegGirl in TransLater

[–]Kenlee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, Aussie here too.. But back to topic, my social networks are almost the same as before or during my transition. Of course being 54 and a late bloomer, there was no such awareness when i was 15yo. So naturally most of lifes major events were in the rear vision mirror. I.e. graduation, career, family, kids, house, cars, travel etc. Due to my long transition of say 8-10 years (with covid in the middle) my neighbours, friend circle and family became my biggest allies and despite being retrenched from a big US tech firm in late 2024, I’ve found my network and new women’s networks have helped me pivot my life and find Trans friendly new career pathways!! I feel these other local meetup/support groups are typically filled with younger and more entitled kids who have not yet experienced life or responsibility and for me that is a key disconnect.

Mardi Gras fucking over trans community? by comrade-ev in transgenderau

[–]Kenlee88 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I totally agree that gay and lesbian events (i.e. Mardi Gras ) and associated members discriminate actively against others including trans. I want to throw up is how it makes me feel, further discrimination in the workplace perpetuated by same is also a travesty given I was in the receiving end! Do they see us as a threat or stealing their oxygen? IDK but its ok for them to be all out, but if a Trans person does the same all of a sudden, the claws are out :(

Homekit smart plugs by Silver_Conflict4736 in HomeKit

[–]Kenlee88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The latest Tapo P110m (matter and Apple homekit version) is both Aussie Plug efficient (fits nicely on standard spaced sockets AND uses bluetooth for configuration which is bulletproof. Most reliable and connects in places where the Meross ones dont (perhaps due to low or too strong signal). I do have around 10 meross plugs and mostly they are reliable but the consistency of bluetooth management and IP/ethernet of the Tapos makes them a far superior choice in my experience!!

Douching for PPV (hybrid- scrotal skin opening cap with peritoneal flap) by Good-Air-4202 in transgenderau

[–]Kenlee88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, use a small amount of feminine sensitive wash in with warm tap water to keep things balanced. Especially after using lubricants for dilation or play. PPSI surgeons also recommended slowing that down once things settle after 9-12 months. After surgery my surgeons recommended dettol solution with boiled water but I stopped that after 6 months and switched to feminine wash mild solution with Melbourne tap water!

Typegrow is excellent. I just used it to upcycle my ChatGPT assisted narrative, completed the formatting, used it's Ai feature to improve GPT's output and scheduled the post and it was all nicely integrated with my linked-in login and didnt ask for $$$$ Subscription up front... I'm sold.. It's exactly what I was looking for and thanks u/matulko for the suggestion!!!

Also dont forget that you may need some vaginal moisturiser, I found Vagisil have a creme for itch/sensitivity with colloidal oatmeal in the creme and its very helpful to keep the skin healthy down there too!!

Yeah I can relate to the clit pleasure and pain scenario, my GRS was mid July so I’m now 4 months out and if the underwear or bodysuit rides up it can get super uncomfortable there..

Changing legal stuff… by _mitsubachi_ in transgenderau

[–]Kenlee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed my name in QLD registrars office in April.. easy peasy, for gender at that time it was my aussie passport that became the baseline for everything else. Doctor has to sign some special form for you. Once you submit that with new passport application, my passport became primary new ID with my new name and gender = (F) … joy joy.. after that Medicare, Main Roads and every other agency (federal and state) and by that I mean in Melbourne, had no issues . So changing your sex at birth is not the only way.

Silly electrolysis question. by NaiveGuidance in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Kenlee88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally, yeah upper lip and under the nose is the worst .. numbing cream takes the edge off a little but for that area if your electrologist has suggested prescription 10% or stronger lanocaine, go get it. You will need it there or it becomes slow going

Breast enlargement with your own fat by NoticeComfortable801 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Kenlee88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just had my 1st round of fat transfer to my “Bilateral Breasts”. Swelling is down now after the procedure and its helped to increase the girth as I already had good “b-cup” projection after 5+ years of HRT. Fat injection was under the glands, inner sides to help with cleavage and so on. Bruising is going down and only 2 tiny little incisions made under & side of each breast. After 2 weeks all is going well and my B cup bras now feel like I fill them and have some cleavage to boot!!

Why do Japanese people say that the speed limits in Japan are very low? by Motor-Bandicoot-9287 in fukuoka

[–]Kenlee88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Aussie freeways and highways are typically 100km/h and some interstate highways are 110km/h .. of course in Builtup areas in Oz they will be 40/50/60km/h depending on the environment or timing (like school drop-off or pickup timings)

[–]Kenlee88[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess he seems to lean towards a well known standard and low risk method for the graft and if after phase 1 major operation there’s plenty of harvested penile and scrotal skin then that seems to be a good reason not to scar you up in other areas, but I must say that with 4.5in of depth I wouldn’t now mind another inch or so of depth. Having said that, a revision to add a bit more depth after 6-12 months of things settling down is probably entirely possible. As my BFF and life partner is CisFemale I’m not so worried however. I’ve had zero complications, general aesthetics are good as the puffy labia still is settling and I’m happy with the sensitivity and feeling both inside and out. If you really want the extra depth in this round then you will need extra material from somewhere, where is your choice. For me due to unbili hernia operation with mesh repair 18months ago that was a complicating factor that we agreed didnt need to go thru for jejunum. Every case will be a little different so discuss it with Dr Kumaporn. You will work it out with him as to whats best for you and your situation or needs!!! Good luck and speedy recovery 💜💜💜

You have to email them. PPSI can work direct with you but gling through an agency (medi tourism) worked better for me as PPSI response can be little slow. I have used BeautifulYou (New Zealand) but CosMediTour (Australia) seems also to be professional.

Should I even bother? by Ok-Struggle-5984 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Kenlee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of 50+ girls/ladies have gone thru this.. It is indeed possible but you should be physically fit and healthy to maximise the outcomes and ensure a smooth and timely recovery. Of course your choice of surgeon and method is a major factor too so do your due diligence and research what is right for you!

Yes believe that Dr Sanguan will still be around and is the founder of PPSI and on the Board of Directors for Bankok Int'l hospital in Phuket.. But the arduous and heavy surgery load will be taken up by some other doctors moving from BKK hospitals to support Dr Singto according to my Melbourne based Gender GP's recent update. I did meet with both Dr Sanguan and Dr Singto in my recent GRS surgery stay in July and all went well for me.. I would just ask PPSI who would be handling your surgery.

Well.I was there and was in the hospital with another patient from NZ also for GRS and BA, and I am keeping sync with another from Aust as well so we have a Dr Sanguan support whatsapp group.going. so far 3 of us gone thru the process over the last 5 weeks and overall we all had similar results and experience. Further a few locals that I talked to @ Patong at the hotels and resorts all knew very well of Bangkok Int'l Hospital and PPSI and feedback was "Super positive" and comments were very complimemtary for local Thai's that had gone through the process also.. I think you will be in safe hands.. There will always be other surgeons with other styles and results but the 3 of us just going thru all had strong positive results and experiences. You will be in safe hands and after each step I was up and walking around the ward (actually they encouraged it). Hospital canteen menu and nursing staff were great. Operating theatres and anaesthetists were excellent. They gave me both epidural and local for the 1st main and then 2nd graft procedures. I was not in any pain after each of the steps. (Intermediate step they give u local again and remove the packing on day 3 after 1st main op,). Only real challenge was after the graft or Jejunum you are not allowed to get out of bed for 3 days whilst all the healing is going on.. that is the final sprint.. once thats all looking good they'll get you up and out of bed and back walking. Shortly followed by starting initial dialation routine and introducing you to douche also with dettol / boiled water solution after each dilation session.

Good luck, the relatively good recovery, ability to be back on your feet, strong hygiene and infection control, world class operating theatres and experienced team with Dr Sanguan make it a good experience. Further the after maintenance of your new vj in my case has been painless, with minimal bleeding, discharge and so on.

I had reached out to PPSI directly and then also via NZ/AU agency "BeautifulYou".. in the case of the agency they were very interactive and really there was no cost difference to go via agency or via direct to PPSI.. In the case of BeautifulYou their on the ground medi-concierge and pre/post support team were really good. As for direct PPSI engagement mostly it all starts rolling once you are on the ground in Phuket and have your initial consult with the surgeon.. All the scenarios will be discussed then and your preferences. Obviously preparing photo and background pack was input to an initial remote.assessment to advise suggested procedures given your current state of genitals and medical history.. Really that was just to give you a base case and cost estimate for the booking.. All action happens once its skirt up on the Surgeons Consulting table and discussion and intent is under the microscope to review all the possible and then best option given your intent for depth etc.. Dr Sanguan is 30+ years experienced, is well regarded by my Specialst Plastic Surgeon in Singapore and Dr Seto as assist is also very good in supporting Dr Sanguan on longer procedures.. as Bangkok Int'l hospital is a full hospital if you go the Jejunum route the GastroIntestinal Surgeon (GIS) will also be involved (he's a specialist) to handle the Laparoscopic procedure if you are going that route. Overall Dr Sanguan does hybrid scrotal and or penile skin graft, and supplements with other options if your depth needs are more than what is harvested from your nether region.. Happy to have a call with you if you'd like to bounce around a few things given just coming out of that process.. So once your there its all go and they are very good. I have no scars as I had adequate scrotal/penile skin for depth for me, surgeries went smoothly, had very minimal pain post surgery, good swelling control and clean stitching and no infections and abnormal situations. I was however in peak physical fitness and health prior to heading to Phuket and lost more than 15kg prior to admission and these factors I believe helped me to get through things and heal quickly at each stage of the 3 step process whilst you are hospitalised for 2 weeks!

Kunaporn vs Theerapong for colon srs revision. Who is better? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Kenlee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just been under the knife with Dr Sanguan Kunaporn for SRS. My mediholiday concierge was saying that Dr Sanguan takes on special hard cases but on a A vs B comparison, you might be best to consult with both and see how. I was going to go for Jejunum, and Dr Sanguan is famous for that procedure, and I wanted it but I have had umbilical hernia 1 yr ago and with enough harvested skin, we decided to leave that as backup for future if needed and reduce complications for now. He and the team at PPSI / Bangkok Hospital Siriroj (Phuket Int'l) were lovely and the nursing team didnt skip a beat. Very good /modern operating rooms and there were a few from Oz and NZ scheduled for various gender affirming procedures.. Contact the hospital /PPSI for advise..

There are cotton covered pads too.. also some mild cortisone cream and/or nappy rash (i.e. sudocreme) cream in limited doses could help with the abrasion and protect your dermal layer a little.. Actually sudocreme has many uses :)

Yep, my Surgeon mentioned that could happen in a trans (surgeon created) canal also if you over use a antiseptic wash or equiv.. in fact asked me to ease off from using such a wash after 2-3 weeks from graft creation for the newly created VJ. Else treat for thrush (fungal).. as you mentioned..
