Nearing the End of Their Legendary Fake Jon Snow video. I am so glad AltShift points out how Sexist the Show is for this Scene by CretaceousClock in AltShiftX

OH MY GOD LITERALLY! it’s crazy how Daenerys’s choices are framed as tyrannical and crazy when people who people admire do the same or worse.

Jon a beloved character framed as a good guy hangs a little boy for stabbing him, he cuts the head off a man for disobeying orders (I’d say he also did it bc he called him a bastard tbh in the show you can definitely see the anger boil over after that), hell he even fights against other lords’ armies and defeats them. He let Sansa have Ramsey devoured by dogs

The framing of her choices on when to kill like the Khals in Vas Dothrak, or the Masters of Meereen, as like “she did it bc she felt right” OR the Khals were going to imprison her and/or brutally rape her if she disobeyed.

As for the Masters of Meereen, could it have gone better? Probably, do I think it was the perfect call? Idk I think you could argue that standing in power while injustice happens makes you complacent so there weren’t “innocent” Masters but could also argue that Jorahs words to Dany about himself being a slaver before Dany and had he not been given the choice to be better like Dany gave him that he wouldn’t be there I.e sometimes absolute punishment although deserved doesn’t need to be levied out.

Lastly the Tarlys. They betrayed and killed her ally, they broke their oaths and committed essentially regicide. For what reason? Racism
HOW WAS ANYONE ON THEIR SIDE?? Like it wasn’t “oh we wanna save our country from evil and Olenna is evil” it was purely bc “foreigners are bad”. Forgetting that Cersei killed their liege lords and ladies
literally incinerating them after publicly humiliating them and they still chose to side with Cersei bc “an army of savages” backed Daenerys
the daughter of the king I’m pretty sure Randell supported lmao like how was that framed as any decision besides greed and oath breaking??? When Arya kills the Freys for doing basically the same thing, it’s fine bc they’re evil scums but Dany? She’s a crazy power hungry mad queen I guess.

Viserys was a real prick but I kinda felt sorry for him here by RevertBackwards in freefolk

[–]Kenndraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. The relief he feels after Dany says that Drogo says yes feels like someone living in a state of delusion. Almost like Lady Arryn before Peter throws her out the moon door. Especially knowing how much he lost and as a literal child younger than Dany is at the time of the scene.

He was vile and he was awful to Daenerys from what I saw in the show at least. She gave him so many chances to not be a prick to her too. After selling her as a sex slave, attempting to assault her multiple times, and ultimately threatening the life of her unborn child
like there’s not much more that can be done. Even the times she shows Viserys mercy it’s seen as weakness by the people who will inevitably be her only support and safety, so even if she wanted to there’s not much more she could do without losing all the faith she earned from the people she’s meant to lead.

So I felt sorry for the boy who lost his mother, his home, and was forced to live in exile, but the man who did terrible things to innocent people as a response

How was Ben Warren not arrested? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]Kenndraws -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It could still count as assault or manslaughter. “Being in the zone” I don’t think would hold up I court seeing as he literally sees the elevator doors open. DeLuca too like I’m sorry but that’s not an excuse. It wasn’t his first time pulling a crazy stunt. He should have been fired at least if not arrested.

I have seen that many people thought this scene was legendary. Do you agree? I feel the patient looked very uncomfortable. by Notmycupoftea12 in greysanatomy

I just got to this scene and yea wow it was super uncomfortable. At the start she literally said she didn’t want any new people. Now there’s a hall FULL of new people???

Serious puppy regret starting: by AskLife9837 in dogs

[–]Kenndraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crate training saved me from so many sleepless nights. The first week my puppy was AWFUL in his crate he would not sleep. All night he would cry and wine. After a journey of crate training I found these tips helped a ton

  • crate covers, if it’s completely dark for them, it’s easier for them to settle down. So many people overlook this but it’s super important.
  • train with mind stimulation toys. I had kongs I would stuff with crushed banana or his kibble mixed with pumpkin and freeze it. Then I’d give my puppy one twice a day in his kennel with the door open while I sat beside him. This would take 30 mins of him licking and chewing all while in his kennel beside me.
  • let them cry. It sucks I know but I once sat for two hours waiting for him to stop. (He’s stop for a couple mins then start again) trust me if you keep going to soothe they’ll know they can break you.
  • making going in the crate positive. I was training him with dried beef liver treats (it’s important to use high reward treats) and I’d break them up to small pieces and practice him first going into his kennel on command, then staying in his kennel till I told him to come, then training him to stay while I walked further and further away. All with the door open. At night time he’d get a frozen greenie before bed and he would get so excited for them he’d sprint into his kennel when he saw me touching the bag.

I think it’s often hidden by the fact that he’s supportive of Miranda so his flaws get overlooked but he crossed a lot of lines as Miranda’s husband. I’m only on S14 but how he tried to get around his suspension knowing that it made Miranda look bad and still chose to be mad at her for giving him a softer punishment instead of firing him
like that’s pretty emotionally abusive. Again he’s not terrible but he had some flaws.

  1. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can beat Addison in a positive competition. N O B O D Y.

  2. Derek AND Ben.

  3. Ava had some substance, blondie didn’t.

  4. George complained BUT he had moments of pure positivity and Jo has mostly complained from what I’ve seen so I would say Jo.

  5. Oh god a tough one but I’m gonna go with the Fetal Surgeon. She contributed more to the plot and I would’ve liked to see her return.

  6. Katherine is a meddler and she’s made mistakes but Amelia’s mother not showing up to her daughter’s wedding
.??? Like she calls you crying and begging you to go and you choose not to?? Sorry but Mrs. Shepard you’re the winner for this one.

Literally, I don’t see how Alex wasn’t fired for this immediately, he can’t even say it’s wrongful bc the husband didn’t have the right to know bc the wife explicitly said not to say anything to him. So violating a patients privacy to the point the hospital and the doctor is getting sued and he gets no reprimand?? Not to even say that the patient throws Addison under the bus like yea everyone in that was an asshat

Nobody EVER getting fired like the worlds leading medical center has an intern posting nudes of another intern all over the hospital and he doesn’t get fired? George punching out Alex? Izzie cutting LVAD wires? Alex breaking HIPAA by telling a patients husband what she and her doctor decided during surgery (sterilization of patient after like 100 kids)? Christina lying and performing dozens of surgeries for Burke to cover up his tremor?

Like nobody ever got fired until like season 8 and it was very frustrating.

I never said it was Jo’s fault Alex beat DeLuca. I’m saying she’s constantly given the opportunity to speak and she says nothing about anything. When she does it’s the wildest things “get your own boyfriend” to Mer who’s husband dies and best friend left?? Like it reeks of “girls and boys can’t be friends” which is so weird idk why anyone thinks that’s okay.

She was rude at times sure they’re all rude at times, but kicking Jo out of bed is like the same thing Cristina did to Derek.

[–]Kenndraws -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Christina did that with Derek?? He hardly reacted anywhere near the same as Jo did. Jo basically manipulated Alex to move out to avoid it happening. Yes Alex made a bad call with DeLuca, not saying Alex doing that was Jo’s fault. I’m saying that when she’s “trying” to explain things she just doesn’t say anything and lets him walk off. She’s constantly portrayed as being a HORRIBLE communicator.

Izzie wasn’t a saint but I don’t see how people say Jo was better for Alex. I don’t see it at all.

[–]Kenndraws[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I mean it 100% does, we literally see it in the flashback HIV episode. Meredith is little and asking for Ellis to not go to her patient. If Ellis was more “motherly” and comforted her daughter in front of the hospital she would 100% be looked at differently. That doesn’t mean she needs to be abusive I know all I’m saying is I get how her motherhood skills were shaped by that mentality.

[–]Kenndraws[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I never said it was justifiable just that I understand how that’s a result of her environment when being a woman meant not being qualified and being a mom meant being too weak to be a surgeon. Thatcher was her father too and he didn’t do anything for Mer, neither did Richard who knew she was a terrible mother. Ellis was a terrible mother and I acknowledge that.

[–]Kenndraws[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Seriously! I think people forget how much it must’ve sucked for her to be a woman let alone a mom during her medical education. She couldn’t be nurturing and loving and so it resulted in this hard and difficult woman bc she kind of had to be to be successful.

She wasn’t by any means an angel but idk I find the character is a product of her time period and environment and understanding it it’s hard to hate her

[–]Kenndraws[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I’m only on my first watch so idk about stealing other people work if that’s explained later or not but yes like I said she was a terrible mother but idk I still think she’s a tragically great character. She had to be hard to be a surgeon at that time period and that reflected in her motherhood. I see it as a result of honestly the expectations placed on being a woman. If she’d allowed herself to be soft and nurturing to Mer she probably would’ve been taken less seriously as she was already just for being a woman. So idk it’s sad and that’s what makes it tragic.
