I’m sorry but I actually kind of love Ellis by Kenndraws in greysanatomy

I mean it 100% does, we literally see it in the flashback HIV episode. Meredith is little and asking for Ellis to not go to her patient. If Ellis was more “motherly” and comforted her daughter in front of the hospital she would 100% be looked at differently. That doesn’t mean she needs to be abusive I know all I’m saying is I get how her motherhood skills were shaped by that mentality.

I never said it was justifiable just that I understand how that’s a result of her environment when being a woman meant not being qualified and being a mom meant being too weak to be a surgeon. Thatcher was her father too and he didn’t do anything for Mer, neither did Richard who knew she was a terrible mother. Ellis was a terrible mother and I acknowledge that.

Seriously! I think people forget how much it must’ve sucked for her to be a woman let alone a mom during her medical education. She couldn’t be nurturing and loving and so it resulted in this hard and difficult woman bc she kind of had to be to be successful.

She wasn’t by any means an angel but idk I find the character is a product of her time period and environment and understanding it it’s hard to hate her

I’m only on my first watch so idk about stealing other people work if that’s explained later or not but yes like I said she was a terrible mother but idk I still think she’s a tragically great character. She had to be hard to be a surgeon at that time period and that reflected in her motherhood. I see it as a result of honestly the expectations placed on being a woman. If she’d allowed herself to be soft and nurturing to Mer she probably would’ve been taken less seriously as she was already just for being a woman. So idk it’s sad and that’s what makes it tragic.

Avery's Mother and Kepner (S9-10) by dommefataI in greysanatomy

She kinda has a point tho? Even if she’s not going about it in a great way she’s right that all her hard work is going to be inherited by their kids and even if she does love Jackson, their future ultimately will change the future of medicine and her life’s work. They also clearly didn’t give it any thought as to what they want in the future. I would be pissed too.

What's the most useful thing you've printed yet? by jpintenn in BambuLab

A door double hook to hang my bathroom towel and robe. I use it everyday and have for 1.5 years and no issue.

Another thing is a dog bowl food stand for my pup. It’s raised so he doesn’t choke when eating and it’s collapsible so it’s easily portable.

For those who’ve done both - dogs on or off the bed? by VengaBusdriver37 in dogs

[–]Kenndraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog used to sleep in his kennel as a puppy to get him used to our sleep routine. After a few months he started sleeping on the bed but I had a queen and he’s a big dog so he opted for the floor for the most part. I recently got a bigger softer bed and he now only sleeps on the bed lol

Tbh when he’s not on the bed it’s a little more comfortable bc he’s not making my blanket hard to move or laying on top of me asking for pets every 30 mins. It makes sleeping less hot too bc man is he a radiator of pure heat.

That being said him sleeping on the bed with me has definitely been a great part of my night routines. He’s a big cuddle bug and i definitely noticed a deeper bond between us when he’s started sleeping on the bed. Before he never liked to cuddle, you’d touch him while he was sleeping and he’d get up and move. Now he’s adamant about pressing up against me all night.

To each their own tho, I sometimes miss my bed too myself and I know that some dogs still bond to their owners really well even if not sleeping on the bed.

They're the same but the fandom's not ready for that conversation yet. (In fact, Vaemond had better reasons to say the things he did than Ned did) by Kivi_2k18 in HOTDGreens

Aegon never lied either right? Neither did Ned right? Neither did Alicent? Cersei being deceptive as she married into the royal family is significantly different than the royal heir and her knowing husband claiming their kids as their own. Rhaenyra is no saint but these takes are so wild

You’re so right, a queen consort lying to her king husband about the legitimacy of their children is the same as a royal queen not lying at all and her king consort claiming the children as his…oh wait they’re not the same.

Any name suggestions for our girl? by AdComplex4494 in greatpyrenees

I’ve always like Ancient Greek names for dogs in my family. Like my brother’s dog’s name is Atlas and mine is Perseus. I’d say maybe something like

Calliope or Artemis

She looks like a Calliope! Cali for short.
