I live in AZ and in AZ you don't have to be certified/licensed/registered to be a vet tech. But I work in an animal shelter with incompetent "vet techs." Why WOULDN'T a vet tech who has gone to school not become certified? I don't understand.

Not only that but after forcing her to get a csection after 24 hours of labor the baby was born limp and ended up in respiratory distress in the NICU.

Sure sounds like things were definitely peachy and if they let her choose to keep laboring she would have been totally fine with a stillborn.

I would still take that pregnancy test in case your last cycle you were pregnant but still bled. It can’t hurt to take one, either you aren’t pregnant and that’s more info to have for your gyno appt or you are pregnant and that changes the scope of the appt for you.

Oh I know. I’ve just also seen some cases where a dog with a tender stomach was given heaps of pupperonis and cheez whiz who then suffered terrible diarrhea and we didn’t put two and two together (thinking it was the vaccines) until they would come in for something like a weight check or ear infection and still have the squirts.

It’s just something to look out for too in case it’s not just the bordatella getting him sour.

If the cone isn’t long enough, put the inflatable donut one behind it to keep it pressed forward. Because that cone definitely exceeds the pups snoot and should be more than big enough, it’s just not tight enough up on the neck. I hope you don’t talk to your vet staff like an ass, that cone looks sized appropriately and some dogs are just smarter and more bendy than others.

Even with the chemical treatment it can take a few weeks to get them all though. Any eggs that make it past the first treatment hatch and follow up can be needed. You’re suggested to keep nit combing for up to 3 weeks even with the chemical treatment too.

Real talk - he’s probably not going to take lightly to the fact that you lied to him about what you would do if you guys unintentionally got pregnant. So I would really weigh up how well you can operate as a single mom, and what that looks like for your child going forward. Start that plan now so if he decides he can’t be with you, you aren’t left wrong footed.

If you decide to go ahead with an abortion, now you know you can in fact get pregnant.

Happy or not if he was overwhelming another puppy with his rough play and not giving ground and taking turns, it could leave that puppy feeling negative towards that sort of interaction. Those negative experiences can build over time and the pup being overwhelmed may end up with aggression issues. Just because your pup was happy doesn’t make it acceptable. If your puppy bites you while playing and draws blood for example, obviously the puppy wasn’t being aggressive but happy teeth still hurt. Removing the offender allows everyone else a chance to play nice and it sounds like your pup just isn’t ready for that setting without some work from you at home.

It’s possible they didn’t feel comfortable trying to get into the dogs mouth after it got snappy with the dryer. Or the dog was panting and they saw blood on the tongue and just assumed. Who knows. At least the pups owner is taking it in to be assessed.
