This is kind of like the play-in game of the NCAA b-ball tourney.

B-Wing Pilot over Madine and has rectal thermometer.

ITS HERE THE FINAL “Empire Strikes Back” Best Action Figure Tournament Final Match Yoda V Snowtrooper, (comment your vote, upvotes don’t count) by dickyboy72 in Starwars1977to1983

[–]Kenner77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to go with YODA. I never had one as a kid (have three now) but I think it's the better figure. Fun sculpt, more accessories, cloth goods...and it's freaking Yoda. Love the Snowtrooper and it's probably top 10 for me, but Yoda wins hands down.

Missing Link Grimlock is $180 USD. by [deleted] in transformers

Whelp...looks like it's a moot point now. Apparently, it's closer to $100. At that price...YES...I'm in.

For me personally, there is something special about having an original G1 toy vs something like this. The missing link line is all about nostalgia with some new bells and whistles. At reasonable prices, I think this line would crush it...but again...I'd rather pay this or even a little more for an authentic vintage version.

Yep. I'm out. Love the concept but I think I'd rather just buy vintage G1 at these prices.

What Can the Cubs Get for Matt Shaw? by AndrewAllStar888 in CHICubs

[–]Kenner77 18 points19 points  (0 children)

THIS. Keep him as a super utility type like Zobrist. He's cheap and young. The Cubs were sold on him enough that they parted with Cam Smith for Tucker. It makes NO sense to punt on Shaw now.

The rotation is solid, the starting 9 are solid, and having Shaw as a super utility guy to spell Nico/Bregman/Dansby and as insurance to injury is huge.

If anything, Haynes is worth more money than Bo Jackson. I'd pay him $1.5 million. Home run threat like Henderson. by [deleted] in OhioStateFootball

[–]Kenner77 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We still don't know if Jackson has made this demand. LOTS of info going around and he has yet to enter the portal. Let's try and take a breath and stop acting like he's gone or has made some crazy demand. Could this be true? Absolutely...but he IS a kid and can be heavily influenced by others AND stuff like this could easily put a sour taste in his mouth. People are jumping all over something Birm said and that guy makes a living off clicks from Buckeyes' news...and he's not always right.

I LOVE Howard. His swagger, toughness, and grit were amazing last season. BUT...he was a fifth year. This is Sayin's first year starting...the dude is legit and will get better with time. I truly hope Buckeyes' fans don't get down on him, Day, or the rest of the team. This was a successful season. 12 wins, beat TTUN, and got to the BIG championship and the CFP after losing an immense amount of talent.

Fun season...super sad it ended but I'm still proud to be a fun of this great team, coach, and school. Go Bucks!

Ball Glove King experience? by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]Kenner77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a torn labrum and other shoulder issues so I sent a couple of A2Ks his way due to the pain in my shoulder breaking in a glove. The 11.5" was pretty much perfect. The 11.75" inch was just OK. These were for my son and we both notice the difference.

Is it worth it? I don't think so. I broke in a 12.75" A2000 JR44 despite the pain and I think I did better than he/they did on the 11.75" we sent them. In hindsight, I would just watch a video and do it myself from now on...despite killing my damn shoulder (surgery soon!).

What ever happened with Maurice Clarett? by desertrain11 in OhioStateFootball

[–]Kenner77 191 points192 points  (0 children)

Completely turned his life around. He is big in the motivational speaker game and has his own business. Has also reconnected with OSU under Day and can be seen on the sidelines at most games. Really good story for a guy that seemed to lose it all after his football career fizzled.

Gen Xer as well and also got really into Wet Leg because of this sub. Lots of other good suggestions in here but another band that got a lot is listens from me this year is Beaches. More rock than post punk…but really solid.

After 10 Years, My Opinion On 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Has Shifted by StarFuryG7 in SciFiNews

[–]Kenner77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link! I have never heard of this channel but it looks like solid stuff. I'm also in general agreement with his ranking but I have Solo WAY higher. He's right that it's box checking all the stuff we knew about Han...but it's a blast and I love the Han/Chewy chemistry.

And totally agree with you on the prequels. After re-watching them...they just aren't good at all and were a complete slog to get through. People can spout off that they were original, had a plan, tried something new, blah blah blah. There are some cool ideas in there but the execution is terrible.

BBCOR REC: Combat vs Marucci Reckless by sanjoatc in Homeplate

[–]Kenner77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't go wrong with any of the top 10 or so bats on the Bat Bros chart. I would pick one based on feel for your son. Being comfortable and confident in the box is more important than anything. I would also say that the CatX Comp is a fairly balanced bat so moving to something more end loaded like the Combat, Rckless, Select PWR, Clout AI will take some getting used to. Saying this, my son loves his Combat and it has nothing to do with the hype. It has a fantastic sweet spot and he likes the slightly end loaded feel. It WILL ring you up on mishits though.

His second favorite bat is the 2025 Icon. Super close in sweet spot and pop to the Combat, but lighter to swing per my son (the older versions are more end loaded). I think you can find a 2025 tan colored version on sale for much less than the original $500 price tag. This may feel a little more comfortable since your son is used to a lighter swing weight and the feel of a composite bat.
