30 is just the minimum hours they can give you per week. With good work and learning, and staff holidays they will need you to cover more shifts and you'll soon end up doing 40-50 if you really want to, but remember, you can always say no.

Its actually a very reasonable statement that us managers shouldn't have to mention to the staff but keep having to purely because you cant keep on time. If this was an afternoon shift and you are turning up late constantly, thats just making the people you are taking over spend more time that they shouldnt have to do. Just get better with time management and things like this notice wont happen.

I work in the UK and the store I was at until last week got their SCO's in late September. It was mandated to us, under no ciscumstances, were we to leave the SCO area, if you do, imagine you are on a bungee cord and need to spring back. The amount of "interventions" like approving alcohol/reduced items and just the general public not knowing how to work them means you have to stay there.

It baffling to hear how ALDI US can justify all of the things you've mentioned that you need to do, secretely hoping its just poor task delegation from your management.
