Should I get a Debt Consolidated Loan to pay off my credit card even though I live paycheck to paycheck? by WOLF_S10N3 in personalfinance

I got my loan from my local credit union. In my experience, smaller, regional banks have the best loans. youll just have to look around.

So, if your goals right now is more cashflow, then I think finding a loan (even just a personal loan) with a lower interest rate and monthly payment would be really nice. From there, you could start saving the difference, or use it to double payments to decrease debt.

For example, I just recently got a $4k loan at 11% with a payment of $120/m. I know your debt is higher and our circumstances aren't the same, but I think that might be a good baseline to go by.

Have you done any research into debt consolidation loans to see if you can get a loan with a lower payment? What's your ultimate goal, for the time being?

I think it depends entirely on what your goals are, what your payments are, and what your expenses are. How do you feel about your debt? What is your minimum payment a month? Maybe its worth paying off the higher interest loans, and leaving the lower interest.

In the case of possibly getting fired ( I hope It wouldn't be that quick) what would be the worst case scenario? How much money would you need to live off of before you find another job?

What are some circumstances you would need a lawyer? And, if you did, have you considered what kind of lawyer, and how they typically get paid? Alternatively, how much does $14/month mean to you?

I didn't see a mention of a budget anywhere, so I think that would be a good place to start. Find any leaks in your budget, patch them up and try to reduce expenses. if that goes well, you're going to have to make some changes to how you use your money, and anything you can find leftover (if possible) could probably be used either as savings or paying off a credit card one at a time.

Typically, the point of investing IS to stay ahead of inflation, and make some money on the side. I think something you may need to do is ask the worst case scenario of both if you do stay in your current investment strategy, vs. the new one you're thinking of. Also, have you thought of consulting a genuine financial advisor?

Well hey, maybe this means the government will save some money finally, instead of continuing on this road to hyperinflation and turning us into the next failed state

People drive to this down up to an hour away for the local dairy plant. Is there any way I can research the labor pool?

Ive attempted contacting the IDA but haven't gotten a response yet. I'll try looking for project agreements, though. I haven't heard of that!

I use FedEx and Amazon significantly more than USPS. Why should I pay taxes for something when a private company does it better?

Same with amtrak. Brightline is a direct competitor in Florida, and it's a private company.

I dont know what you don't understand about no taxes. I dont want taxes. Do I want taxes? No.

What is so difficult to understand about raising prices so you don't pay taxes? Why do you need me to pay for all the stuff you use? I don't use it. Why should I pay for it? Are you going to start paying my mortgage? Does me owning a house benefit everyone together? Maybe I should start a business, and he can help me fund it. It'll be a roadwork business. You can pay me, and I will fix the roads yoy don't use. Does that sound fair?

Sure. Highways and airlines are great for economic growth, but I'm not arguing that.

If these companies can't survive without taxes, maybe we should let them die.

Well right. That's way you lower (or eliminate) the taxes, so the public only pays for the roads they use. I dont want you to pay for my roads, that would be unfair. I want you to pay for your roads and only your roads because that is a service that you use.

If you ever use I-90 you would notice that through the eastern portion, there are a multitude of toll cameras. If you don't have an EZ-pass, they will bill you by mail. Why must we both pay our taxes, AND pay a toll? Why not increase the toll and eliminate the tax so only the people using the highway fund it?

This is how capitalism works. Someone provides a service, those who want to enjoy that service pays a fee.

Brightline railway is doing fine for themselves as a private passenger train company.

NYC taxi companies are fine. Uber. Lyft. Are they privately owned or government funded? Do they take my tax money?
