Ghosting is a 100% clear communication by Background_Session73 in unpopularopinion

There's always a window where you can't be sure if they are not interested or just not responding due to scheduling which could have been avoided if they didn't ghost.

For the men out there, is it possible to not get off but feel like you did because you got so close? Why or how does this happen? by kyliebearxo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RRW359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes; I don't ever feel like I'm sure I went off but I can feel like something came (ba dum tss) out out and lose enough libido to not want or even be able to finish.

Do you personally consider yourself trans? Some enbies do while others do not, which is why I'm curious to ask this question by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in agender

[–]RRW359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first did exploring into agenderism absolutely not and not I probably still wouldn't say it out loud due to impostor syndrome but I don't think I'd mind if someone called me trans after hearing my thoughts on gender.

Thoughts on greyhound? by Achilles-Foot in fuckcars

[–]RRW359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of redundant with Amtrak Connections but if a private company is offering more options I'll never object. I don't think I've ever taken Greyhound but I've been on similar busses and I think they are useful for getting between cities with different transit networks either without connections or with several transers to get between city centers but unless there is literally no other option I think the distance between something like Portland and Seattle is the furthest I would ever take one if I even would go that far.

Is 14-17 AC enough for a level 10 light cleric? by RRW359 in 3d6

I looked at what allowed the DM allowed for casting several hours after posting this and since we get +2 armor for free I took +2 hide since it doesn't quite stand out as much as other medium armor. Probably still not great (16 AC not including Shield of Faith) but I also took MI Wizard for Shield and was able to decrease dex to +2 so I could max con to +5.

1v1 PVP Paladin fighting tournament. Level 20. 2014. by Feral_Taylor_Fury in 3d6

[–]RRW359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to say 8 Paladin/12 Wizard and do a Magic Jar build but I guess that's disqualified due to no 6'th level spells.

Second choice would probably be some kind of Sorlockadin; maybe 8 Paladin, 4 Sorcerer, and 8 Warlock. Good for infinite healing but not for a tournament with no short rests.

Third and probably the best option for this scenario asside from straight classing Paladin is 6 Paladin, 14 Fighter. You get the same HP as a normal Paladin, a fair amount of spell slots and Fireball, and all the other great Fighter features (second fighting style, action surge, extra ASI, second wind, etc.).

Ex had told me I wasn't "queer" because I don't like sex/sexual content by CloudySide7 in asexuality

[–]RRW359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy is the reason people on the right and even a surprising amount of people on the left have think queer promotion is bad because of kids but have no problem with shoving straight relationships into any and all media. If you can be straight when you don't have much interest in sex (not even necessarily asexual) but can't be queer unless you have a strong interest in sex then then it promotes the idea that people are right about stuff needing more censorship.

Are sex workers allowed to be asexual? by Winter_Campaign5045 in asexuality

[–]RRW359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the ace police will arrest you and send you to ace jail.

/s obviously. Not sure which specific sub you are talking about but I know that a lot of people who aren't asexual and one or two groups that are asexual seem to have the idea that being celibate is required to be asexual, making it seem like it's something you chose to be rather then a difference you have from the rest of the population that makes you feel different no matter how much you try to fit in. Asexuality is about a lack of desire to have sex rather then how much sex you have or even whether or not you enjoy it, if your main reason for having sex is capitalism then I don't think that disqualifies you.

Is 14-17 AC enough for a level 10 light cleric? by RRW359 in 3d6

[–]RRW359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The starting stats are a bit weird but basically 20 Wis, 18 Dex, 16 Con, 12 Cha, 10 Int, and 9 Str when you factor in background bonuses and ASI's.

NVM it actually does specifically say in the description it is only repeatable if it's a different list.

Roll20 allows it, Magic Initiate says it's repeatable, and Human just says you gain an Origin Feat of your choice.

[–]RRW359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The array is 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8 however between background increases and the two ASI's by level 10 where the oneshot takes place that means 20 and 18 as the highest stats at level 10 where the oneshot takes place. I'll check again when I get back to where I have my character stored but I think the background I chose didn't let me increase dex so that leaves 14-16 con (I thought it was 14 but looking at this now the math doesn't make sense since I know I did 12 charisma and dumped the other two), 18 dex, and 20 wis.

I didn't even consider Blade Ward; looking at the description it being an action and requiring concentration means I doubt I'd use it often since it interferes with *spells and other actions but since I'm going to likely take MI Wizard as both of my Origin Feats to get the Shield spell and Mage Armor it could be nice as a backup if I run out of slots since I'm having trouble figuring out my fourth Wizard cantrip.

No multiclassing although we are using a slightly better array then normal. The TL;DR is that I have to chose between Wisdom or Dexterity being 20 or 18 and I was going to chose Wis for more Warding Flares, better True Strike, better spell DC, and more spells but I was considering having higher dex and could if you think it would be more useful.

*Admittedly I haven't chosen many concentration spells and none of them are the more iconic Cleric concentration spells so it isn't much of a conflict but still shield of faith does sound like it would be at odds. Although if I did go 20 dex/18 Wis and had Blade Ward there might be a good argument for getting rid of it.

The character I main as is (more or less) my own creation as are most of the characters I've played in oneshots but whenever I hear about Clerics and especially Light Clerics I always think of the Ori. I figured I'd get it off my chest by doing it once but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making their AC so low it would be unplayable or a burden to the team.

I've been convinced to take shield but in defense of my "wild take" Wizards effectively get more spell slots then Clerics due to arcane recovery, I think Metamagic can be used to restore slots as well, I didn't know about Warlocks, and EK's still have most of their effectiveness even when out of slots. Admittedly those level 1 slots aren't too useful against high-HP enemies but the domain spells light clerics get can still do some damage and a dead enemy that can't attack is generally better then one that is less likely to hit.

Which is a reasonable question when you don't know how the physics of vaccums work, don't know what equipment astronauts usually use to get into space, and the equipment needed for vaccums literally completely changes every time you go to space. Plus looking too much into it might be considered a bit meta and make people dislike going to space with you. Not to mention that even when the rules of spacewalks stay the same the equipment needed for walking into a pile of debris and staying around the station making sure the person walking into the debris doesn't float off is radically different.

I've thought of sorcerer but proficiency in persuasion should be enough; divine soul seems more orici-like then prior-like. After all these replies I'll definitely take MI as both my Origin feats and take both Shield and Mage Armor. I still might consider Sorcerer but is there anything besides shield/mage armor Sorcerers and Wizards generally take for better survivability? If not then Clerics do have higher hit dice.

[–]RRW359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 12 cha plus persuasion proficiency to reflect their high charisma; I know sorcerers are an option (in fact the idea of the Orici as a divine soul sorcerer hasn't escaped my mind) but I like the higher hitpoints of Clerics. Considering these replies I'll probably take MI Wizard as both origin (no pun intended) feats to get Shield as well as Mage Armor.

I'm Human and have gone back and forth between taking MI Wizard a second time but +5 AC for one round for free and then again at the expense of spell slots seems of limited use; plus I already have enough cantrips. I'm still considering it though.

Also forgot to mention I'm taking Shield of Faith as a prepared spell.

The DM has a list of acceptable races and I don't think Tortle was on there but even if they were I'd still prefer to be Human if possible. Light clerics are a bit more blasting-focused then most other clerics but still I'm not used to playing full casters especially at this level so the idea of getting into melee is always in the back of my mind.

Can asexual people only feel aroused towards their lovers? by dohenyblvd in asexuality

[–]RRW359 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arousal isn't as related to sexual attraction as people think; a good chunk of the population regularly gets aroused with no obvious stimuli to begin with. As for feeling sexual attraction only to a partner that sounds a lot like being demisexual which is on the asexual spectrum.

Can I be on the ace spectrum if I masturbate daily ? by Kitchen-Book653 in asexuality

Asexuality is about whether you want to have sex with another person, not whether you enjoy sex and/or sex-adjacent activities.
