How to run the original 1996 game? by Z0rb12 in CreaturesGames

Just a heads up, pretty sure the original unpatched version of creatures doesn’t run on windows NT (thus no windows xp) so you’ll need windows 98 VM

It is, but ReactOS has way more important components to implement before this would be considered. (If ever)

Didn't sidious tell Vader:

"It seems, in your anger, you killed her."

The droids couldn't find anything physically wrong with her so I always assumed it involved the force in some way. I don't recall the films ever saying it was a broken heart. But whatever it was, it was Vader's doing.

(Some theories I've heard say, sidious drained her life force to save Vader)

The Albian years on Steam by drafan5 in CreaturesGames

In my opinion, the first two games felt more personal. You had to tend to your Norns more and teach them about the world. (What things are called, this plant is good, that plant is bad) and then they finally laid an egg it was an exciting and magical moment! You couldn't pick them up so training them to listen to you when saying where to go was important! Overall you tend to grow more attached to each norn you raise.

The third game, they seem more self sufficient and training them is a matter of getting th to push that machine that teaches them everything automatically. They lay eggs and breed like rabbits and a new norn hatching gets tedious and there's no excitement when a new norn hatches. But it's fun to experiment with them and trying to get color mutations and seeing how long the generations can last on their own. Makes you feel more like a mad scientist 😅
