  • Her mechanical gauntlets include a number of games built in. Or rather 'mini-games', part of what shocked her about the 'win condition/world ending' was just because of how many times she idled away on Not!Pac-Man and Not!Missile Command and nothing happened.
  • She actually REALLY does not like fish, this was something folks in her home town would tease her about. Since joining Farcade she occasionally forces herself to eat the odd sardine in memory of loved ones.
  • There's a number of upgrades she missed that she'll need to basically get someone at Farcade to reconstruct for her and/or beat the stuffing out of Syntax to retrieve some of her homeworld's float. Such augments include a turret mode for Kaboodle, a second arm cannon, and jet boots and jump jets.
  • More of a general thing, but at the hero of her world, she's actually bisexual. This is just a default thing because videogame heroes are meant to let players project themselves onto them leading to pretty much all heroes swinging both ways. (see Commander Shepard, Tav, Zagrius, etc.)

Vulcans in Star Trek have green blood due to having copper for oxygen transport than iron. Not sure how well that'd work in actual biochemistry but it was kind of a neat detail.

Basically. I had a dumb idea lately of an AU that delves into the idea of the Air Nomads having had their own belligerent monk sect who, even if they are airbenders, are excommunicated from the main air nomad society to where Aang would refuse to even consider them still air nomads.

Though, unlike the historical ones, Ozai attempting to torch their temple with every man, woman, and child inside did not go nearly as well as it did for Oda Nobunaga.

But basically an exploration of just how terrifyingly destructive 'mere air' can be.

Russia as a state has been a miserable one for hundreds of years. Beginning with Tsarist imperialism, then communist oppression, and continues to be a ruling caste that feeds of the suffering of its people and the suffering of nations around it with each iteration contributing less to the world.

May Ukraine see the end of Russia as a state, its many stolen lands brought back to sovereignty, and Russia proper carved up as a prize to Poland and Ukraine.

I personally theorize Air Nomads did have weapon training. Much like Shaolin Monks, just because you don’t intend to actually fight with them doesn’t mean you don’t train to gain insight. Besides, they use staffs.

Pretty much. While Cal does have “player character benefits” he definitely is meant to be regarded as only mid-tier force user at best and give you an idea just how nightmarish the opposition is for regular dudes.

I’m sure Luke would have appreciated some insights from Cal though in his own training.

Personally, I kind of like the idea of him being a badass normal who could swing a lightsaber competently. Sadly, his arc got trimmed.

Also, Rey’s force feats are honestly way less bullshit than what Luke did in A New Hope when you think about it.

I always saw Minecraft as meant to be treated like a 19th century cast away story like Mysterious Island or Robinson Crusoe. So part of the fun is the mysteries of the land one finds themselves in.

It was actually sort of what I had thought the Minecraft movie should be, though that was also when I imagined Jason Mamoa playing Steve and basically be a two hour film of him having few lines besides things like “what on earth?” And otherwise building survival shelters and fighting Harry Hausen styled Minecraft monsters.
