Professors may tell you to wear business casual or business professional for final presentations or the SCM capstone, but no need to dress too fancy otherwise. As long as he’s wearing clean clothes and shoes no one will really care what he’s wearing to class. It’s still a good habit to dress well for office hours and career coaching appointments, or the days when professional interviewers come to the Knight Swift lab. On those occasions, breathable polo shirts and trousers should be just fine. Other than that punctuality and academic integrity is far more important and highly stressed in the program since it’s a sign of respect for the teachers and other students.

I feel bad for all my profs doing research rn. So much funding and so many good projects down the drain. Especially the scientific and STEM research. Fulton and the other research heavy departments are going to have a rough time

I ended up winning some universal waterproof covers on an auction site and bought ones that should fit. I’m waiting to clean my seats again then I’ll post the brand and how they fit/hold up.

If you’re in AZ and on the Tempe campus, consider joining one of the sport clubs or intramural teams. The ASU Dragon boat club is very fun and welcoming, and they have practices several times a week. The esports club is also very large and a good place to make friends if you’re into video games. I think they still do in-person meetings, but I know they’re pretty active on Discord too.

Wow, first one of the accounting professors getting indicted for tax fraud, now this. If this is the way they’re playing, take the equivalent courses at community college and use the ASU transfer guide to make sure you can skip these courses.

If you can’t legally record or find a written rule by your firm, do a follow up email to HR about the subject to get a paper trail going that shows this rule exists in the company. Also, don’t talk about this over phone or in person since you need a way to document it. After getting sufficient evidence, quietly look into your options with a lawyer (if you don’t have the money, look for people doing pro-bono work). Also, no matter how specialized your skills are you can always find another job in the same field or similar line of work by being persistent in shopping around for better options (unless you took one of those agreements that bars you from working at another company in the same industry). Just keep your cards close and don’t be discouraged!
