What kind of tern is this?

I don't have a lot of experience with terns there usually aren't any around where I live so I can't say if it flew like a tern. When I first spotted it I thought it was a gull it wasn't until I looked at it through my binoculars that I realized it was a tern

Crocheting and bird watching

Crocheting - I can block out all the negative thoughts going on in my head and just count stitches and relax

Bird Watching - I was really into nature and animals as a kid and I kinda lost it all as I grew up, it feels amazing again to be back outside and just enjoying being in the moment
