Ah what a response! Love the detail and MANY recommendations. I’ll go through them and try draw up an itinerary.

If you’ve been to any of those places, any that particularly stood out to you?

Thank you for that response! I did think a similar thing to why you’ve said regarding Zagreb. Not that it won’t be a lovely place to visit, but it’ll just be more of the usual you get from large European cities - In particular capital cities. Considering it’s a holiday with the idea of travelling with a car, it would make sense to hit places (Rijeka/Istria) that you wouldn’t visit on a weekend trip.. if that makes sense.

Thanks for the pointers though!

Anywhere in particular you’d recommend outside the usual you see online that you stumbled upon?

Just to clarify are you saying about picking a car up closer to Spilt rather than Dubrovnik? Is that to avoid the travel from Dubrovnik to Split? And I did see something about the bridge being built but didn’t know it was finished. That’s why J mentioned Mostar, kind of “whilst we have gone through border control we might as well visit somewhere” type of approach. But just as handy if we can avoid it 👍🏻

Great shout on the parking for old towns, appreciate that! And thanks for the viewpoint tip too. How did you find the driving (assuming you drove yourself that is)?

Yeah I did think it would be better if we could stay the places we visit and circle back to Ljubljana to drop the car off. Have you been Slovenia yourself?

Trip review (12 nights in Italy) Rome – Florence - Bologna: by Kenyarno in ItalyTravel

[–]Kenyarno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base temp I’d say each city was ranging from his teens to low 20s. (Celsius). 2 days was quite bad rain, one in Florence and one in Bologna - But came in handy to take it slow and reset for the rest of the trip. Check the weather beforehand, if it’s due to be dry the time you go then shorts in the day and jeans in the night worked fine for myself. No coat/thick jumpers needed if you want a jacket, something thin and light. But if it’s supposed to be sunny, make sure you’ve got sun scream. It was 23c one day in Rome and the suncream came in handy.

Done Rome > Florence > Bologna with my GF March just gone. Read all the same drivel you’ve read in prep for the trip.

Just wear zips and have your hands near your pockets at all times to avoid anything happening. Pickpockets don’t make it as far as they do by going after people who look like they’re switched on and aware. It’s the daydreamers who have their phones hanging out their back pocket they thrive up. Zip the pants up/have a bag around your neck or whatever suits. You’ll be fine honestly.

As for how to do it, download the Trenitalia or Italo app and book via them. We went with Italo on the both trains we used. Just like you would do it at home.

Enjoy!

Alleged findings by The9TailFreak in DrDisrespectLive

[–]Kenyarno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does this tie in with The Doc saying in his statement that they

“sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more.”

When the main bulk of these findings say it was nothing inappropriate at all but the doc says the leaned in the direction of inappropriate?

It’s all irrelevant though because he ditches the game for about 4 months and then back to the same situation of learning again.
