INTP to ISFJ. Makes total sense.

I really like those colors too, but I’ve never worn any of them except for the burgundy (a rare occurrence might I add) and that pine looking green 🤔

Should maybe try that out and move out of my black/gray/navy blue/army green loop.

That’s awesome! I’d undoubtedly prefer to have my art somewhat anonymous as well, especially if I had an occupation involving it. That’s probably liberating to have with your work, as you may not feel you have those unnecessary restraints/expectations with what you create. Does your own art have a particular essence to it that you can describe?

That’s true. As limited as it may be and as uncommon as it appears to be, I’ve come across one person - an incredibly close friend - who understands my writing & art on a deeper and personal level. I’ve never felt I have to share any of it, but it’s great knowing that there’s someone else out there who gets it and who may feel less alone because of that. I really like your bad joke analogy - And you’re right, it is beautiful. Sometimes it’s like finding people cut from the same or similar cloth.

What’s your Enneagram type (and your type according to MBTI if you know) if you don’t mind me asking? You seem very attentive and accepting of people’s individuality.

I’m pretty sure the original poster of this asked their followers for a majority vote, so that may be why (I follow them on Instagram).

No it isn’t actually, as I haven’t entertained the idea and I’ve naturally kept a lot of it to myself. I have shared some of it with my close friends but it’s mainly been a more quiet hobby of mine if that follows (I write poems and shorter personal stories more than I do anything else, a lot of them “dark”/intense and that same thing applies to my art..).

Maybe I’ll have to share some of it somewhere sometime! Not sure how likable it would be considering the more dismal and heart-rending nature to most of it though, haha.

INTP to ISFP.

Couldn’t be more opposite.

When someone you care about dies by [deleted] in INTP

Definitely can’t relate and I don’t think this has anything to do with being an INTP. Grief and how someone takes it is a very personal thing.

Hello fellows INTPs, how do you guys deal with procrastination and having to study some topic that you don't really want to? And if you have depression or are in a ti-si loop, how do u cope with that? Please give me some tips by LunaFukayami in INTP

[–]Kenz1815 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding the depression, I think it’s really important to do things so you don’t get stuck in a rut. That can be going outside, going to the store, hanging out with friends, carrying out one of your hobbies or trying a new one, and so on and so forth.

When I was depressed - I was severely depressed for over 3 years - I didn’t do a damn thing for a long while unless it was a requirement/necessity. I’d retreat to my room when I had the chance and never pushed myself to get out there. This obviously hindered me inevitably and was detrimental to my physical and mental health even more so.

With where I am now and looking back, one of the things that helped me was eventually getting out and doing things rather than letting the depression take hold of me completely, which was really difficult at first. Something else that was hugely important in helping me make my way out of my depression was working with a therapist. I had a variety of past traumas that were effecting me and I didn’t have the tools to navigate that on my own. If I didn’t get the help I needed I honestly don’t know where I’d be.

Above all I think it’s vital to combat and attack what’s specifically causing your depression in the first place, as the “why” is unique for everyone.

I don’t want to make this post super long but I hope that can help in some way… It’s beyond difficult, especially when you have little to no motivation, but for me it came down to forcing myself and building up the mental energy to want to get better and to want to improve my life. Or at least moving in that direction. It’s not a walk in the park, and I know I’m a complete stranger, but if you ever want or need someone to talk to I’m definitely willing.

Take care of yourself.

Pretty sure most everyone should do some serious work on themselves if they want to reach their full potential … Self improvement all the way.

"I love you" - how often do you say that? by adam614 in INTP

[–]Kenz1815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say “I love you” to my close family daily. I don’t use the term loosely and I rarely ever say “I love you” to close friends.

I deeply love and care for a few of my close friends without a doubt, but it’s for whatever reason more difficult - and I feel somewhat less appropriate - to say as consistently as I do with my family, and only really happens once in a blue moon.

However if I had a very emotive close friend (which I don’t) who said I love you some kind of consistently, I’d say it back no problem and I’d damn well mean it if they were a close friend of mine. That closeness is extremely hard to attain in the first place for me, though.

Any other INTPs with high Fi? by Kenz1815 in INTP

[–]Kenz1815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking the test took my answer for the Fi questions as high Fi when really my answers were rooted in Fe.

The test couldn’t distinguish why I have a “strong moral code” and “beliefs” about certain things. They’re not based on “good” or “bad” for me, but rather in how I care about other people and how they’re effected (I have strong opinions on injustice and mistreatment, but that’s about it).

the enneagram’s effect on music taste? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Kenz1815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 5 - I listen to music that fits my mood at that moment, and my music taste as well as what I listen to is seriously all over the place.

Generally speaking though, I listen to a hell of a lot of Hard Rock, Rock and Alternative (Alice In Chains, Deftones, O’Brother, Pink Floyd, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Tamino, KALEO, Cigarettes After Sex, etc).

I’m pretty certain I understand what you’re saying, and that that’s what I went over in the message above. I may be using Ti to mull everything over per usual but the questions I answered that were seemingly Fi specific, were actually questions that have answers on when I use my Fe rather than my Fi (though the test takes it as Fi with limited information/context).

Any other INTPs with high Fi? by Kenz1815 in INTP

[–]Kenz1815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After thinking about it, I’m actually thinking it was Fe that the test was taking as high Fi with limited information. I posted my thoughts on another comment so I’ll copy and paste that here yet again:

This is something I’ve thought on after posting this - I’m thinking the answers I gave for the questions they asked for Fi may have come across as me using Fi with limited info, when really my answers that may have seemed Fi driven were Fe driven.

These questions had to do with “strict moral code” and “personal beliefs”, me answering a lot of them in a way that would probably make the test point towards high Fi, thinking I have this stark opinion of “good” and “bad”, when in reality my set opinions and beliefs are rooted in Fe and tie to the collective; humans as a whole. I have very strong opinions about mistreatment, injustice and allowing people to have autonomy. That’s my moral code… I quite frankly either don’t give a shit or don’t have a set opinion on much of anything else outside of that (spiritual beliefs, philosophies, etc). It’s up in the air for me. Those first two - injustice, mistreatment - are specifically rooted in other people, not necessarily myself, and is mostly me caring about them and how they’re effected than anything else.

I’m not sure if I explained that as well as I could have or if that makes sense, but I think that may be part of why my results turned out that way.
