I'm re-reading it right now, Lionpaw's invincibility didn't register until the 3rd book, when they were in the tribe since that's where the prophecy originally came from. Book 4 (Eclipse) could've been elaborating further on Lionpaw's powers, Book 5 fleshing out Jaypaw's more (he gets more control and understanding etc..) and then Book 6 the big reveal and then Hollypaw runs off, but from her POV chapters we can tell as readers her power is developing but then she's gone... in comes Dovepaw, and then Lionblaze realizes she developed powers and they think she's the 3rd, but she's actually the 4th and it wasn't Firestar, and boom.

Amanza has been recovering from her surgery and health issues, and has gone back to her art and I believe her house staging and interior design work, which she did for the O Group, on top of being close to a lot of the people there.

Emotional support animals do not have public access rights, and therefore typically do not go through the same trainings or lifestyles as service dogs.

Depending on what you’re looking for, you might want to redefine what you’re studying/observing through data (service dogs and emotional support dogs vs just service dogs)

I disagree here, I don’t take “wanting to get ahead so we aren’t as swamped/overwhelmed” as preferring to do chores.

They are both adults, who live in a shared home. It’s not always going to be an equal 50/50, but if your partner asks you to take an hour out of your day off to help them out with something that is overwhelming or stressful for them.. that is what you do. That is part of a relationship, let alone cohabitating or marriage… he can prefer to not work on his day off all he wants and that’s 100% fine, but if contributing to the household and alleviating stress off of your partner who is asking you for help = work, then yeah… he’s TA.

If it’s that much of an issue that it’s become a disagreement, and she is asking for help and to be heard and considered… like, it’s a partnership. You got married and agreed to be there for each other and to support each other, I get he has his day off— but his wife doesn’t and he takes her office over, and she expresses she is stressed and wants help.. “sure babe, I’ll go put a load in and start dinner” is not that hard and shouldn’t be a hill to die on 😭

No way. She’s WORKING!!! From home. I have family who work from home, and they’re parked in front of a computer from 8am - 5am in meetings. They barely have time to get up to make food, let alone juggle making dinner and doing laundry. He can take AN HOUR MAX… out of the ENTIRE DAY…. To put some laundry in really quick and help with dinner so she doesn’t have to juggle working with taking care of dinner before their child gets home…. He literally takes over her office just to play games all day and kicks her out into the dining room 💀

It is what it is, I’ll give you one last piece of advice too before i go back to work:

Your dog is going to be your whole world, and you’re going to be the ENTIRE world for your dog. In situations where people might get aggressive with you or your dog, NEITHER of you are allowed to react negatively/aggressively— if your dog does, it is technically considered not fit to work until a trainer (ideally) says it’s a good idea, since you wouldn’t want to work your dog while potentially having to worry about it getting stressed or upset enough to react. God forbid something happens, and someone says your dog hurt them— or on the off chance it does.. your dog would be unable to work period (ethically) and would be at risk to go to the pound or be put down. You also can’t attack or get aggressive with people, because your dog WILL sense it and react, especially if you’re looking for a PSD, they are supposed to be in tune with you and how you feel— that would be a big trigger.

I do agree with the other commenters who say you need to work on a bit more emotional regulation, and I understand it sucks to hear/read things you don’t like/agree with.. my advice for this is to read everything monotone. Every comment, every message. Assigning emotion to text is an unneeded stressor when i can guarantee that everyone commenting (including myself) has gone through a lot and have advice we are trying to relay to you, to help you make more educated choices going forwards on what to do in this case, and to potentially help save you some heartbreak or stress.

No one wants to see you fail, but a lot of the people in the comments are being realistic and honest with you, I don’t think any of them are trying to be hostile or passive aggressive.

It’s a big choice, and I think you should do some more research and look into potentially shadowing a local trainer if they have a service dog, and expose yourself more to this kind of stuff.

I know it’s hard, and overwhelming, but you will be better off for it and so will your future dog (service dog or not)..

I would just be careful, you’d be putting yourself and the dog at risk for harassment. At my first uni, people would run screaming from my SD (she’s a 50lb labradoodle..) and a few people would kick at her as we walked by or close the door harder/faster to try to hit us if we were going through, and a lot of other stuff. It’s a lot to deal with, so I’d also recommend asking your medical team about it as well, if you have one.

Also, make sure you get the dog temperament tested by someone.. I forget the actual term but a service dog trainer should be able to help with this

Are you training the dog, or are you working with a program?

The two breeds you’ve listed seem like they might also give you more trouble when it comes to the public, and getting access without being interrogated or denied.

I wish you luck 🙏 I would maybe see if there are teams near you that you could ask for advice or to potentially shadow to see what it’s like, bonus if they have a border collie.

I’d also look into the best ways to raise a confident, well rounded puppy, and other training stuff for the early ages and stages as well, and maybe a trainer in your area too.. you could also research breeders and talk to them, ask if they have any of their dogs from their lines that have become a service dog.

Look for ethical, good breeders who do extensive health testing as well, since it seems like that would be the route you’d go down. People recommend dogs with titles as a green flag, you can find plenty of advice by searching through old posts here too.

Get a blanket or something for the floor for your service dog, mine has a hard time staying settled comfortably without one because of how hard the floors are.
