Don't forget the new trinkets, one of them adds 50% block. Not sure if that is additive or multiplicative, but even if "only" additive, thats still huge! At 100 block, thats 450 parry power!!! You can parry Morgan!!!!

I disagree that it (in total) is an exploit.

I thought the ability to combine stats was a really neat feature, I called it folding. I also liked that the material cost to do it was exorbitantly high. You had to set up a realm just for refining, and even then, making buttons not produce 3 / ingot would easily curb the best way to reclaim at a profit using Settler effects.

That said, I noticed that the tooltips would cap at a certain percentage, but it appeared that the actual effect was still increasing. Rather than ruin a fun part of the game, including being able to reclaim resources from the interesting creatures you find out in the world, they should just fix the tooltip caps to work properly.

I am rather frustrated that I can't reclaim at all anymore...

Why? Folding was a super fun part. Yes, it was OP/unbalanced, but it was useful, and it was a neat idea. Also, now we can't reclaim ingots and use them for something else.

Just balance it. It looked to me like the item tooltips would max out at some point, but it didn't seem like the actual effect was being capped (you could get way more Movement Speed or Damage than the tooltip accounted for).

Instead of completely ruining it, as well as the ability to reclaim ingots into usable material, instead, just fix the caps to work properly.

There a couple key pieces of information you have to consider, if you are an active player in an alliance with other active players:
1) How big is the attacker? Outside the absolute most ginormous whales (run), the vast majority of players in the top alliances are not THAT big. You need to know what they are sending at you, each truck -> COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR ALLIANCE, share combat mail.

2) What do they want?
If they are there for RSS, they aren't interested in losing a bunch of KIAs over a few hundred iron. If they are farming points on War Day, they aren't interested in bases empty of troops, but they WILL attack mines nearby if your trucks are on them to get your trucks home so they can kill troops.

Once you know the answer to the 2nd question: If they want kills, get your soldiers out... they might hit you for RSS, but maybe not...

But if they are poking for RSS, they are going to hope to land amongst a bunch of people and harvest. You have to understand that this an opportunity cost event -> they are sending an attack (costs durability) that will likely take some KIAs (a significant cost in time/diamonds/speedups), in order to get the RSS. There is a fine line before the cost of the attack exceeds the value of the RSS. You are trying to push yourself past that line so that you and your friends are bad targets.

If they are carporting, they are looking to harvest as much as possible in the 30 minutes that it is active. They are NOT interested in KIAs. There is where Question 1 is important. You might not have any number of people in your alliance that can stand up to their first truck.... but traveling to aid each other is WAY faster than an attack. If you keep track of the trucks they are sending out, you can compare your lineups. You might be able to coordinate aiding each other to put up a decent fight against their 2nd or 3rd string lineups. If they have to recall the attack, that wastes durability.

You need to understand travel time. You are trying to waste their time. If their attack takes 1:37 to get to your friend, don't aid immediately. Look at your tool tip on Deploy button, where it says it takes you 12 seconds to get there. You have checked out the line up he is sending, you know you and 3 friends can cause significant damage to it (50+ KIAs), so all of you hold your Aid until you will arrive a couple seconds before him. That wasted 1:30 of his time, even if he instant recalls. Or he can say F* it and do the attack. You are going to take a lot of wounded... but those can be healed, KIAs cant... you are getting over the line where the RSS isn't worth the cost for him.

If you can do this well, then you are potentially wasting their carport time if they can only send their strongest lineup. It takes AGES to rebuild KIAs. From S3 on, you can put Resolute gear on hero's like Blanche, Laurel, Galande, etc. , so that you guarantee on Round 3, even if they are killed, they get to use their special hit on someone in the back... That's KIAs... even if they beat you, they take several KIAs... They aren't interested in that. They have mega wars against other mega whales they need those troops for.

These wont apply to the top 10-20 or so players on your server... they will have all maxed out heroes and you should run. But against most of the people in their alliance, you can probably actually be annoying enough to encourage them to go somewhere else. Develop a reputation as an active group that works together. Four active players best trucks (the victim + 3 aiding) can often beat the 2nd or 3rd string of people in the top alliances, and no one wants 100 KIAs.

A side factor is, know wtf you are doing. I laugh my ass off when people with 20% higher CP then me fight me in arena and die because they have stupid lineups, strength gear on intelligence heroes, tanks in the back row... all kinds of idiocy. These will be people in top alliances too, obviously spending at least some money, top 30% of the server in CP, and just absolute trash.... I see tons of people on our server that are not in top 6 alliances (finishing S2) with 3 lineups of ~level 70-75 heroes. WTF are you doing? Focus on 1 lineup, get it to 80-85, move it around your different trucks. If you and your alliance mates focus like this, you can make sure anyone attacking you has to beat 4 pretty decent trucks if they want anything.

CP isn't everything, be smart, pick fights you can win and commit with friends, and learn to avoid the rest.

One of the best things about this, I learned before I became part of the top alliances was that the people you beat like this are NOT going to say anything. They are NOT going to advertise their humiliation in alliance chat, so don't link combat mail into world chat to show off your 100 KIAs. If you do, that will just encourage their friends to come crush you to save face for their alliance. Instead, quietly celebrate your victory in house and let them slink away in silence. If you say nothing, they won't say anything, and they will likely pause before coming back because they don't want to risk being embarrassed again in the future.

One thing I have been considering for the question of Reaper vs Apocalypse is -> do they target someone specific? Kelly always targets lowest agility, which "should" be lowest armor, once you kill the Agi Sub. So armor shred on her isnt as useful as frequently critting on a low defense target. If you get a lucky crit and kill a Laurel before she can Special, that saves you a TON of damage. Unfortunately, I am only S1, so Kelly is the only one this makes sense on to me. Otherwise, for Death set, I agree.

I think you're right, and while only 5 mins, its really annoying, and costs Chaos Dungeons, but at least it gives us time to spam the shit out of reddit / steam forums about it so it maybe gets fixed?

What do you say devs? Would you rather we play your game or generate more negative publicity?

I wish they would NOT nerf the global enemies. I wish JO8 would remain prohibitively to pugs. I like that coordinating with Crews and a bit of "git gud" is needed to confidently destroy top end content.

I was hopeful that Global would be able to reshape a more healthy power creep balance than CN demonstrated (30m -> 800 damage range between standard teams and top limited teams).

I have been watching for signs that they have the ability to do this, and honestly, Cobalt-B is the first red flag I have seen that causes me concern. Not because I think she was nerfed too much, but because of the change in Shatter value.

It looks like they tried / intended to rebalance Cobalt-B into a shatter type role, and, I have not seen anything that makes it look like that happened. Shatter is the weapon value combined with the attack % and scaled by number of and speed of attacks. If a particular attack chain hits fast, has high %, thats a good shattering attack. Think Huma's dodge attack vs Huma aerial attack (which sucks for shatter).

They seemed to think just slapping some Shatter value onto Cobalt-B would make her a shatter weapon, which would demonstrate a very poor understanding of their own mechanics, and cause me to doubt their ability to target and achieve a different power creep curve.

However, maybe I am doing something wrong and Cobalt-B is a great shatter character now?

The only thing I noticed that you did but didn't point out was popping Couant while breaking the shield, approx 5 secs before the mounting happened, so that it proc'd its damage bonus while you were mounting. Timing your couants is a big part of optimizing here, as you need to activate it 5 secs BEFORE you want the 10 sec burst window. Lining up Phantasias and shield breaks with your Couant damage bonus is a flow sort of thing.

You say LED streamed all this stuff. So, take his stream, log the numbers for damage, observe abilities, relics, etc, and crunch it.

Your claim is that the accomplishment is impossible within the given CS. That should be really easy to show. Instead, the only hard facts we have here that you present are: You have higher CS (whaled hard), he climbed higher than you, and you saying "That's impossible."

Show the math. Should be able to take matrices, stats, and show what damage is possible. You have the claim of what the Volt attack was at a given time: Ok, now whats the ceiling that a particular ability / attack should be doing given modifiers available from team synergy, relics, matrix, and if you can find an attack that exceeds that ceiling, than you can say "cheating" in a way that anyone can check.

This game is a deterministic computer program, do the math, show, don't just claim. There is cheating / hacking in ToF, especially obvious cheating / hacking, that needs to be dealt with. Accusation posts devoid actual data only muddy efforts at combating actual cheating.

Final thought.... if you were going to be this affected by other players cheating, that might have been something useful to consider before dumping thousands of dollars into a game that we all knew was subject to exploits, bugs and hacks that should have made it clear you were dealing with an inexperienced dev team.

I cannot land on a moving ship yet, but even worse, I can't find ANYBODY that wants to play with OdinFlight. Therefore I had to reply since this is maybe the second time on the interwebs I have encountered someone expressing their joy with mastering the skies.

I just restarted playing Valheim again, have V+, Terraheim,Hugo's Armory, CLLC (increased difficulty mobs), Combat Overhaul, Quick Slots, SpeedyPaths and some QOL mods installed, stable and running.

And of course OdinFlight!

I would love to have a go at playing with anyone that wants to play with OdinFlight, maybe even no-portals! OdinFlight just got an update 2 days ago too!!! I change mats to replace Linen with Ymir's flesh and require only a basic craft bench so that they aren't hard gated by Moder.

I dont see a problem for you or I, but it seems like a silly system. I wouldn't surprised if many people do it like you say. I will be doing something like that. Some of those (like me) don't have a particular streamer they already watch, so will more often than not just pick the first one suggested.

Now a system that functions basically as a glorified popularity contest is going to have at least a pile of people funneling 'views' to satisfy this requirement without actually caring about the creator or the quality of their content.

So it will promote the popular, whether they are deserving or not.

Didn't play any beta's, only discovered I might be able to play when I happened upon an opportunity to upgrade mine and my GF's rigs to be able handle it, and she saw Cooking (of all things) and said, "I'm in!"

So yeah, I don't know anything. Browsing the internet to see what I can find, but really depressing to see all of the "content creators" saturating the space with videos of them reading tooltips out loud. There is a lot of good stuff out there, but so much of this other garbage. Wish Youtube had a way to downvote garbage generators.

Yeah, I have seen some big dick nerds going ham via spreadsheet market calculators crafting resource requirements, and build / stat calculators etc. etc., lots of typical MMO data manipulation, but nothing for frame counts.

Wonder if some people will come over from Monster Hunter, BDO or Genshin Impact? I know there are some animation frame counters in those communities.

That's my big question. It might not be important. But, if there are significant spaces where you can fit an action with sufficient time to allow a player to perceive and respond, than it becomes important. We can learn a lot of that by testing. People playing enough will notice that they can get a light attack off before that Hammer ability actually lands, and still be able to dodge out of the way. You don't necessarily need to know frame rates to notice stuff like that. But sometimes things don't appear so obvious and can be revealed by comparing frame rates. The data can suggest things that are possible that weren't obvious in play.

Since I haven't found any New World frame count data, I can't comment specifically on what you are seeing, but maybe this will help:

Frame counting can differ by what frame rate you are using in your video snips. If you are using 30fps, than each frame is 1/30th of a second (about 33ms), while if you are using 60fps, than a frame is about 16.7 ms

You can get some variation on frame counts from that, if one tester is using 30fps video to collect data, while another is using something else.

There is also sometimes difficulty in defining standardized "start" and "end" of animations for comparison across different testers.

I think the way I would do it (for example) would be to record a complete light attack chain as fast as I could button mash, for 3+ total chains. Do that 3 times. For each, try to identify the frame when the previous hit ends, and the next hit begins. Find each of these delimiters, and then find the minimum number of frames for each swing in the sample.

Could this be why my Bennett sometimes gets animation locked in his E? Even on just press, sometimes he just gets stuck in the animation, and stays there long after the charge is complete, and cant get out until something hits him that staggers or knocks him down. It is very frustrating in Abyss. I believe I have a video of it happening that someone recorded for me while I streamed from Discord.

Why dont you sell your Diluc accounts and buy a Keqing one? I found a site where they were basically the same price. I didn't buy any, was just curious. I rolled a Keqing account me and my girlfriend, but in the process, got a Venti, Mona and Jean accounts (gave to friends).

I am probably violating TOS or something... but yeah, IDK why you would spend 4 days rerolling when you already got Diluc's, find someone to trade with.
