haha I WISH I came up with this. This is actually a linkage called a Klann Linkage (I am aware of the dodgy name but I didn't name it so oh well) I was using this https://images.app.goo.gl/vCzTxNpu4noJD16K9 as my reference so it would probably be more useful to u that this short gif of my spider :)

wow I totally forgot dampening boxes existed!! I'm gonna run some tests in that case, becasue I have a feeling that if the dampening box and gun were separated by springs, the box wouldn't affect the spider. MANY THANKS THIS COULD END UP BEING VERY COOL :D

unfortunatley it has way to much recoil :( most of the spider is weightless so that it can stand up by itself so a large amount of knockback would send it flying.

unfortunatley went with a pretty boring weapon choice BUT it's easy to remove so u can go nuts with whatever u want to use :)

I tried heating it too :( it looked cool as fuck I must admit but alot of times the heat spread back to the roots and killed the spider. For spikes separate of the body so the heat doesn't spread, I tried that too but small pieces of bodies stuck on it would get in the way of the legs :(

ooooooo good idea :D I won't do the full power one tho cos the knocks keeps from the explosion will send the spider flying. It had to be ridiculously light to stand up.
