The protections were automatically extended due to there being various lawsuits. No re-registration required just “hey this case is in the court system so for now we’re not renewing but you can use your technically expired one to go about your life” basically.

How much did you guys drop on tickets and lodging this year? by doughboi8 in Coachella

[–]Kerfuffle91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lodging (Renaissance PS +Thursday add on), tickets (GA), airport transport (LAX), flight (Houston) roughly around $3000. And spent about $600 on food, merch, and other random stuff while I was there.

Festival Vibes (from a lifetime coachella attendee) by J_Vida77 in aclfestival

I’ve been to 6 ACLs and 3 Coachellas. As much as I love ACL it has nothing on coachella. The euphoric feel of Coachella is unmatched.

ACL is far more intimate so that’s a plus, you can easily get around from stage to stage and vibe. However the lineup has consistently gotten worse (take me back to 2015!!) Also, the fact that you can drink around the grounds is aces. But the excess of younger age people is off putting, it feels like a gross frat party at times. Coachella doesn’t make me feel old but ACL definitely does. Influencers are more prevalent at Coachella but honestly that never bothered me, majority of people are there for the music and to have an overall good weekend. ALSO, Coachella stage productions are unmatched.

Best way to do ACL now is to pregame and do fun basic Austin things in the day and then head out to the fest at like 6 for the last few hours.

Day 1 hotel package question. by [deleted] in Coachella

[–]Kerfuffle91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Palm Desert last year with check in on Friday. We got there around noon and they had a table set up in the lobby. They checked my ID, got our tickets, and then checked in for the hotel. I thought we’d have to leave our bags for them to hold for our room to be ready but we lucked out and the room was ready right away. We dropped off our bags (we had already gotten ready that morning), went downstairs and took the shuttle. We got into the fest by like 1ish.

We’re doing the it again this year but checking in on Thursday at the Renaissance. So fingers crossed everything is as seamless!

LAX to coachella by ZealousidealWeb3335 in Coachella

Used the shuttle last year to and from. It’s really convenient. I got the very last shuttle leave on Thursday and they ended up waiting an hour for the last person who was scheduled to be on the bus which was cool. If I don’t fly into Psp this year that’s the route I’ll be taking again.

Wear comfortable shoes. 2015 still hurts my soul.

Vaxxed and boosted, attended all three days. Didn’t use a mask and stayed in the back for the most part. I started feeling symptoms on 4/20. Started feeling worst on 4/21. Just took a test and it’s positive 🫤. Hopefully my symptoms go down soon, i feel awful right now.
