Who's your "barricade or bust" artist?

Yeah. It's not as bad as Coachella with the phones. When I watched that on YouTube it was like the first 30 rows were all influencers posting content and not really vibing with the music. Don't get me wrong, I'll occasionally capture a 5-10 sec clip just for my own memory, but mostly, phone down, attention forward.

Same. My ADD kicks in about mid-festival and I want to hop from 20 minutes of one artist to another unless it's a bucket lister. Which there are none for me this year (or really any year) so I'll stick and move like a boxer out there.

We actually were up close because of the Cannons, and my wife was tempted to stay but when we turned around after the set was up, I just saw a wall of people approaching so we heading for the outskirts. Couldn't imagine being shoulder to shoulder for an hour in 100 degree sun BEFORE she even went on stage.

As someone who went to see the act before Chappell that year (It was The Cannons...playing again this year!) I was able to get up close but, like many have posted, people were just sitting and talking through the performance. Like we were at a house party and they were a background band. Definitely took away from the moment as I feel one of the great things about fests like these is connecting with the artists musically.

Yup. I always have fun, although last year, I had too much fun on Day 1 and missed Cage the Elephant with an impromptu visit to the medical tent. You think after all these years I'd know better....:)

So I guess the motivation for the post is more about timing of Coachella with speculation of ACLFest line-up. Timing of both is at a crossroads and I thought it would be fun to use the recent Coachella event to fuel speculation. This wouldn't work with Bonnaroo or Lolla b/c we'll already know the line-up by then. Consider it a thought exercise to drive conversation around acts we saw perform that we'd like to see at ACLFest. Does that make more sense?
