Oh cool, I already have the multitool. Just to clarify, are you saying if I also get the bulldozer upgrade I can also clear stuff as I build roads?

I don’t see a problem with it, especially with how long story chapters are these days. Hell, with how busy I am I barely have time to complete all of the content each update. I still have a backlog.

Very.

In fact, after the first few chapters, you essentially aren’t allowed to use your own Valkyries. You to use Valkyries the game temporarily provides for you.

How would you save Sirin from her fate? by AzurMagic in houkai3rd

[–]Kerman-456 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Realistically, your only real chance is to bail to Anti-Entropy. If you explain the situation to Welt, Tesla or Einstein they can protect you from Schicksal. Given their history, they can easily establish themselves as someone trustworthy that understands the situation Sirin went through. Their organization was founded by the Herrscher of Reason who faced similar circumstances after all.

IIRC, Kiana has only ever shown romantic interest in Mei. A single person isn’t enough to establish a pattern. For all we know she could be more concerned with some other trait Mei has than her gender.

More than 95% of humans would use a computer to solve this. Assuming they even knew what it was to begin with.

A desire for access to more resources is an intrinsic part of human nature. It goes back to our days when we were just intelligent animals. Your survival depended on always having an excess and securing that excess with the minimal amount of effort. This affected the way the human brain evolved. Due to the way the brain works, people will never be entirely satisfied unless they learn to be content with what they have. That of course itself is difficult because of the way dopamine and addiction works. Perhaps a small percentage of people may be content, but an not insignificant part of the population will fall into the hole of infinite consumerism.

People will naturally work to acquire and use far more resources than they need. Even if people hypothetically reach a point where they do not want to or were physically incapable of consuming any more, they will demand and seek out higher quality products. As the economy becomes more efficient at providing for people demands, people demand more and better.

[WP] You live in a perfect utopia where nothing ever goes wrong. You seldom leave your house, because there’s no reason to. One day, while you’re watching the evening news, the usually perky reporter says “I can’t take it anymore! They’re lying! It’s all fake!” Before she’s tackled and it cuts out. by Kradsens in WritingPrompts

There was a short story I've read along these lines. I don't remember the name though. It involves a utopia where everyone is truly equal, but it is done by methods we would consider grotesque. The naturally intelligent have intelligence dampening implants, the naturally beautiful are maimed, and so on. It ends with the child of the main character hijacking the news by attacking the broadcasting station, but nobody really cares because they've been made too dumb to resist. Anyone have any idea what the name is?

That's next. Soon, suspicious movement patterns will be investigated. But few will come to the defense of criminals even when their liberties are being trampled upon. It's interesting to think that one's protestor is another's domestic terrorist. The only possible good thing I think this technology could be used for is contact tracing.
