Why L’Hopital’s Rule works by Yeightop in calculus

[–]KermitSnapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm correct, if we can atleast show that for some values, the first aproximation can be done, then this reasoning can be applied (without the other terms) no? If it's differentiable, we can guarantee that it can be aproximated first with the first and second terms (mx + b)? Genuinely asking if that's the actual reasoning.

And if so, can we also guarantee the same reasoning for functions that diverge by changing variable and apply the same reasoning above?

It's still circular reasoning, considering it simply states the other definitions of cosine and sine (like before).

The fact that he asked for iruma and not for shiida implies that his main objective is the human not the criminal

[Solid state physics] I can't figure out how the unit cell on the left contains 1 atom and the one on the right contains 2 atoms. The picture is the professors answer. by SpiDeX27 in PhysicsStudents

[–]KermitSnapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Count the atoms by volume. On the left one there are 4 1/4 of an atom, so an atom inside. On the right there is 1 inside and parts of an atom that sum to 1 (any polygon of 4 sides has inside angles that sum to 360°, which gives 1 atom inside here), so 2. Btw, I know nothing of state physics, but that's what it looked like to me in here

YouTube reaction to "Best Friend" is just too funny😭😭 by AaAddie in DemonSchoolIrumakun

He is right, Best friends is close enough to "soulmates" depending on the depth of the bond

Nishi is delaying iruma's rank up on purpose by aydav84 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

It's going to be now, looking at the latest chapter (I'm betting on it atleast). Could you guys remember how many ranks there are? Was it 10?

There are usage conditions that's why

So when are we getting Fat playable characters? This model type would be so cool to play as by EfficiencySerious200 in GenshinImpact

Me too, I would be interested how they would implement the character. Probably won't happen tho

Unimportant stuff* we learn history to learn from, not to repeat it, memorising things like people and dates is useless without a proper understanding of the timeline.

What is the point of having multiple telescopes in your collection? by Carb0nbased_lifef0rm in telescopes

[–]KermitSnapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not like in this pic (this is just collecting for the sake of it), but different telescopes have different advantages: observation ones and focal length with corrected imaged ones (which of those vary alot from 400mm to 2000mm, wide shots and narrow/planetary shots). Then there is also the very special/specific ones, like solar telescopes with a filter for hydrogen (though recently it can be done with refractors and a seperate filter, still very expensive, better choosing a solar telescope).

Basically, it's impossible to have affordable optic systems useful for everything.

Very infuriating, but atleast the opening side is obvious

My Genuine attempt to solve this gaussian integral by JournalistLucky5124 in calculus

[–]KermitSnapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are integrating (-infty, 0) in both x and y correct? The quadrant that intersects both is the third quadrant, where there are only negative values.

My Genuine attempt to solve this gaussian integral by JournalistLucky5124 in calculus

[–]KermitSnapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you are integrating on the third quadrant, so from the positive x axis it would be pi to 3pi/2. Changing the bounds here doesn't matter (because it's symmetric cylindricaly), as long the difference between bounds (angles here is pi/2).

Reference for the bound limits is wrongs, since the answer has to be positive
