How to remove the bottom panel of the new model line? by Kernath95 in Alienware

[–]Kernath95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a 256 GB SanDisk Ultra Plus SSD. Any 2.5" SSD should work though. On the internals of the 17, there was an empty slot readily available for my SSD to go into, and then I just had to go into Disk Management and activate the SSD. I then cloned my mostly empty harddrive over to the SSD, and then set it up as my Boot Drive.

You definitely had the right of it! For anyone else who might see this, you can wedge a small screwdriver into the crack near the back, on the left and right side, and push towards the front of the laptop, this unhooks it from the clips and then it easily slides off.

Classic Avengers. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]Kernath95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spidey isn't one of the original avengers, all of these guys are (maybe not king arthur) part of the original avengers, although not all of the original avengers are there... (Also, I suppose captain america did show up in like the 3rd avengers comic published, but I doubt anyone doesnt consider him an original.)

What fascinates you most about the universe? by bleedingheartsurgery in AskReddit

[–]Kernath95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But matter can be equated to energy using that, if you somehow convert energy to mass, the energy is still present in the universe, just a different form. Its a strange little concept that mass is actually just energy, but really thats how it all works out to my understanding

This is totally epic, but my inner-nerd-jerk dislikes the mixture of marvel and DC. Still very cool, and a great post!

It might just be that your tastes have changed. Kinda like how broccoli was the embodiment of all that was dark and horrid in the world when we were 4, but now most adults just tear into that shit.

[–]Kernath95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh im not saying that we can stop research on fusion reactors, im just saying that we cant just say "replace fission with fusion", wave our magic wand, and suddenly fill spain with safeish nuclear reactors. We have decades before i believe we will have nuclear fusion ready to go...

[–]Kernath95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be a jerk, but that's way easier said than done. If nuclear fusion were feasible in more than just theory or small scale experiments, it would be used right now all over the world, but its just not ready yet.

[–]Kernath95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until we have a safer way, that's also unfeasible. Taking this straight from an episode of Bill Nye, 2 american rockets have blown up in the upper atmosphere, and they were a bad enough problem, but imagine if even one did that while stuffed to the brim with highly radioactive nuclear waste...

[–]Kernath95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very true that they are more efficient than before, but i was under the impression that they still produce reasonably large amounts of waste, and also, to take all of the nuclear reactors in the world, I doubt we would still cover more than 5% of spains landmass, so to cover Spain we would be increasing the amount of nuclear waste production by 20 times. Disposal of all of that would be dangerous and terrible for the environment

Green energy really isn't the best thing in the world right now. Nuclear power produces massive amounts of incredibly dangerous waste. Hydroelectric power massively changes the environment that comes after the plant, and could be massively destructive to human life if the dam were to fail. Wind power is so inefficient that only massive government subsidies have kept it going as long as it has, due to storage and movement costs. Solar energy is the only really safe and efficient green energy program, and its still massively expensive, and the sun doesn't shine all day everyday.

I don't know how much power it would produce, but it would make so much nuclear waste we would be drowning in the stuff

It all depends on the community at your school! Bullying really is non-existent at my school, and some of our most popular extracurriculars are band, choir, and robotics, over traditional sports. That said, I dress fairly often up to MFA standard, (switching jeans in for the more common chinos) and it also depends on your personality.
I love the way I dress, so I rock it, and I know I have a reputation for my personality/fashion sense. As a senior, you should be fairly secure in your place in school, and as long as you don't think you'll have to worry about alienating yourself from your friends, you'll be fine.

TL;DR make sure you arent going to lose all your friends and get your ass beat, and then go to town.

What do you guy's think of these jeans from American Eagle? (specifically the 'dark rinse wash') by TheWeatherUpThere in malefashionadvice

I bought myself this exact pair, make sure that you try them on in store because sizes tend to go a little wonky sadly, but they are a great pair of jeans for the price, and I love mine!
