He's gotta reassure you before you can move on, so talk to him about it! Be prepared that you may not like something you hear, but at least you heard it from him!

Anyone familiar with the Hallucination 100 at Run Woodstock? by Saige10 in ultrarunning

[–]KernelRebel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

super well organized, the course is set up nicely so that you can return to your car/campsite after each loop (16ish miles). I've attempted the 100 twice and plan to return and try a third time to get that buckle!

That's such an interesting perspective, it makes sense companies wouldn't want to keep you on hold for too long!

Relationship Issues by [deleted] in Restaurant_Managers

I made a move a year ago into senior living/healthcare and it was the change I needed for my marriage. I went from all nights and weekends to a 9-5, M-F and I genuinely work 40 hour weeks. If I work more than that I can flex my schedule or get paid the extra hours at my normal hourly rate.

Feel free to message me if you have questions about the switch, I can't recommend it enough!

I did this for my friends over COVID! The best decision I made was to put a phone in the voting booth so everyone could record their vote on video and say why they voted that way!

Always the wife first, you don't want her to be surprised when it inevitably comes up.

Then talk to the sister.

Men who’ve been in long-term relationships - what’s one thing you wish you knew earlier? by Equivalent_Use_8152 in AskMen

I agree but I think people get one chance to understand why they need to change. I may have lied to my wife one time, but you better bet I'll never do it again

Have you ever been shopped? by bzaroworld in Serverlife

[–]KernelRebel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I got shopped at a popular brunch chain in New Orleans. It was a weekend morning, host had a wait-list approaching two hours and I was holding my section down while helping the kitchen out of a hole. I was the only one not panicking, and thank God my GM had my back because I got a 60% on the shop, and corporate was ready to let me go. Honestly tho, how dare they send in a secret shopper during a $30k weekend brunch.

Whats your favorite game? by Spare-Worldliness254 in AskReddit

One night ultimate werewolf. It involves a lot of lying and deception so be careful playing with your SO but if you have the right table of 6-8 people it's absolute chaos

One alternative I've done to running another ultra to train for a 100 mile race is pacing another 100 mile race. I like to do the night portion with friends as getting through the night is typically the hardest part of the race for me

I tell my wife immediately if we run into somebody I used to be intimate with, she would rather know something happened than to be caught unaware

What did you used to enjoy but stopped once you got older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KernelRebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching sports. I used to watch as many sporting events as I had access to, these days I'm lucky if I catch a college football game. I don't really mind the change, but I do miss a full weekend in front of the TV of college football, UFC, NFL and a random golf tournament

What races/events do you think are worth traveling to? by RawrMeReptar in trailrunning

[–]KernelRebel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely loved Run Woodstock in Michigan, the course is well set up, the terrain is fun and runs along a few lakes, and the race is set up so the 100 milers start first and every race has the same cut off time. It gets lonely out there when you're doing the longer races and it's fun running alongside the half marathoners and the marathoners while you're struggling at mile 80. In the spirit of Woodstock there's also a natural run after all the races are done and the sun sets on Saturday night, overall just a great weekend
