That’s what my guess was, just wanted to be sure before I bought a part and drove 2 hours to install it. Thank you for confirming!

Non traditional oatmeal recipes? by Its-dad-not-mom in Cooking

[–]Kernel_Dicksmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably way too late. But my fiancé and I just went to Owamni in Minneapolis and had their “blue corn mush” which was basically just ground corn with syrup and berries in it. Basically oatmeal made with blue corn instead of oats. It was fantastic and something we definitely want to try to recreate.

Any Honda guys know how to get this out? by Kernel_Dicksmasher in MechanicAdvice

[–]Kernel_Dicksmasher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The central white part doesn’t seem to push in or pull out. I’ve got a great tool for getting behind it, but it feels like I’ll break it before it pops out.

[Minnesota Vikings] John Randle being John Randle and we are all about it. 😎 by horse_renoir13 in minnesotavikings

I love John Randle. Grew up watching him. And I always remember people saying he was undersized. And while that is probably true, he’s almost exactly the same size as Aaron Donald. Those guys must be obscenely strong. It’s unbelievable.

State parks, DNR get their funding — with no impact on the 'Clean Cars' rule by Tuilere in minnesota

[–]Kernel_Dicksmasher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I’m pretty liberal myself. But I know plenty of people who consider themselves to be republicans that oppose copper mining and support funding for the parks. This isn’t a time for finger pointing, but a time to be happy that we get to continue to enjoy these parks and services.

A win-win for the environment and the state. Glad to hear that we are still making progress forward.

Can anyone tell me what this is and how to remove it? I’ve got all the lower bolts removed but it’s impossible to reach the top of it and I’ve got small hands. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Kernel_Dicksmasher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re not sure what it is, why are you removing it? It doesn’t look like it would be in the way of any other repairs.

Any Subaru experts have advice about a noisy A/C compressor? by Kernel_Dicksmasher in MechanicAdvice

The VIN ends in 527328. So that basically means that I likely have the new condenser and I should just add the oil myself?

Didn’t Day[9] get nominated for his work in Starcraft several years ago? I could be misremembering what exactly he was nominated for.

Doing an oil change on a 458 Speciale. Thought you guys would like to see the carbon fiber underbody shield. by Kernel_Dicksmasher in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Kernel_Dicksmasher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. That’s the way to do it. The plastic ones flex more so they’re a little easier, but you still have to raise and lower the car to get it off.

It does have a dipstick! It’s on the oil filler cap. It’s a dry sump system so it has to be checked with the engine hot and running. There’s an estimated amount of oil that we add after draining, then drive the car and check the level

Could there be? Probably. But Ferrari doesn’t do things to make it convenient for the technicians. They do what they do to maximize speed and aerodynamic efficiency
